Are you referring to the bag or the mitts?
It is the Garter Rib Baby Blanket. I’m not happy with it though. It needs a garter edge or something. It’s curling badly. I may frog it. I think it might work better with heavier yarn.

I haven’t frogged it yet, but I started this one from another skein. I’m using #7 needles but I meant to switch to #6! I tried sections with #5 and #3 but I can still poke a #11 needle through them. It is very soft and cozy though!
I Googled four-month-old’s finger diameter and found they can be size 11-15 needle size. I guess all of my blankets are too loose for babies! I thought I was doing well by avoiding lace, but the yarn moves enough to get allow a #1`1 needle through. Since I was already 64 rows in, I decided not to start over again!
Snufflebean has a lot of great patterns. There’s a charge according to Ravelry, but they’re free on the Snufflebean site.

How to Knit the “In Fours” Baby Blanket [Free Knitting Pattern & Video Tutorial!] |
Beth
Hi Everyone. I don’t know what to do. Trying to knit but have not been feeling well on and off. But look. I may have well cut it in order to undo it.
I try to knit when I feel well but clueless why this? Yarn is super big. Please see picture. Any advice?
It’s cute
Sorry to hear that you’re not feeling well. It makes untangling yarn that much more difficult. You could wait until you feel like taking on the task or you could consider sending the yarn to Knot a Problem, a Ravelry group that loves taking on someone else’s jumbled yarn skein.

Hope you’re feeling better soon and back to knitting with this very pretty yarn.
I hope you feel better soon. It’s hard to do anything when you don’t feel well. ![]()
Can you just set that aside, and start another project? I have a couple of projects that are not ever going to be finished, I lost interest in them.
If we aren’t far away I would detangle it for you easily. You can do it, let it rest for a bit and you will be ok👍
Feel better soon!
I’m amazed such a group exists, how fantastic!
Awwwww. Thanks
Finished this yesterday. It had been put aside a while as the weather was too warm to have so much sweater in my lap sewing it.
I was undecided on a few bits which after a break from it decided I prefer it without (i had a curved peeping hem ready to sew on and had spent ages knitting and reknitting to get it right, now I don’t want it). I’m still undecided about permanently adding the wrist warmers so for now I will wear them separately.
I steamed it yesterday which was the first time I used my new steamer although I bought it ages ago. I really liked the steamer!

I think this one had 4 sleeves in all. Following the basic pattern led to pretty tight armhole which looked and felt uncomfortable. Fortunately i had seperated from working in the round to working flat much earlier than the given armhole shaping (because i frogged from the shoulders to below the top motif to work the last colour section in intarsia instead of stranded) which meant i could extend the armhole into the side seam, the fit is sooooo much better. It was a lot of reknitting but I’m glad i did it.
A key goal for this one was a neck which fit well but sat low enough to avoid my collar bones, i have another sweater in the same yarn and it irritates me in that area. I like the unfinished raw edge roll on it, makes it look more relaxed esp as it’s such a big detailed pattern on the body which is somewhat too neat for me and needed to chill out.
I worked all the plain grey areas like stranded knitting working alternate stitches from 2 balls of yarn so the result is an even thickness/warmth throughout and it maintains the tension created in the 2 colour stranded fabric and keeps the fabric stretchy and drapey. It makes quite a nice texture in the inside which feels cosy too.
Inside (also shows where i changed from stranded to intarsia in the top motif)
Absolutely perfection, I love it ![]()
I hope your health gets better ![]()
Ooh, it does look cozy! I think the unfinished edges are great for offsetting the intricate pattern. It’s a nice contrast of sofisticated and informal! And the stitches trailing up across the shoulder tie it all up together. Well done!
Thank you!
When I joined the forum about a month ago I shared that I was working on this Snakes and Ladder Tank Top by Andrea Chang… I finished it last week! The back panel was originally supposed to be the front. I followed the pattern based on my bust measurements, but I realized that the tank top narrows a bit too dramatically for my broader shoulders. This was my first knitting project and I admit I was getting impatient… Instead of frogging I finished up this panel and decided to improvise the other side (which was supposed to be the back) to ensure it was wider. I had no idea what I was doing and the armhole shaping is a little bit wonky but I’m content with it as my first project ![]()
Congratulations and may this be the first of many successful projects!
You did a great job of improvising! It looks great.
It looks so cute! You did a great job adapting this to what suits you.
Love the.light colors. Congratulations
