It’s so beautiful congratulations Creation you are great
So the baby blanket done and blocked. So pleased with result. After blocking I put in dryer for 10 minutes on air fluff only. So soft. This is first time I’ve done a pattern that was almost entirely from a graph. Really not hard just had to be careful. Anyway now need to package and mail on Monday. Now need to decide on next project. Hmmm.
Turned out beautifully and on time. It’ll be a delight to welcome the new baby!
Lovely. I would have been overjoyed to receive this when my little Mister was a baby! It looks just perfect!
Thank you. It’s a surprisingly quick knit and easier than it looks too. Still many days off finishing though wih the sewing and sleeves to do.
I do not have anything on my needles.
Daylilydawn, you’re such a prolific knitter. Is this a planned break for the summer?
Yes, I am taking a break from knitting. It is to hot here in Lakeland to have yarn in your lap for a while. I may have to wait till it is a little cooler. Once it cools down I will work on the blanket I have knitted squares from left over sock yarns I used. I intend to put them together in a blanket with black sock yarn to border each one connecting them in rows and then connecting the rows together.
Lovely pattern, can you share the name of the pattern? Is it in Ravelry??
Finished. My version of “Joinery” with long sleeves and cotton linen mix yarn. I did not enjoy mattress seaming the edges as they all had a slip stitch edge which I usually omit from a pattern but i didnt totally understand the construction when i made the first panel so just followed the pattern as written and then had to make all the other panels to same. If i made it again I’d make a few changes but for this one I’m pretty pleased.
Looks great! I love Yumiko’s designs, though I have yet to make one.
Very nicely done. Enjoy wearing it!
Thank you.
I think I will enjoy wearing it.
Right now I’m enjoying the fact i made a budget version but still got the look. The dan doh yarn would have been £122 plus delivery. The Drops yarn was £10. Patting myself on the back whilst also casting on the next top which is “doodles”.
No big projects just started from very small product that is a sock
Stunning
Just bound off the front piece of the Yumiko Alexanda, Agave, pattern.
I was finding the Doodles pattern hard going on my hands so put it aside, I’m not that keen on how chunky the 2 strands of DK are on it and it’s pretty hard/tight to work on the needle size plus to get gauge I’d need to go down another size and it would be even stiffer and harder to work… so… put it aside and rethink it another time. I might work the pattern in fingering weight instead of DK.
Anyway, the Agave has been pleasant to work.
Thsi looks so lovely, Creations. It’ll be a joy to wear.
It’s amazing what a few yarn overs and decreases produces. The pattern is so lovely and yet extremely simple to work.
Fingers crossed it will fit okay. I’m finding the gauge in these designs a bit odd but hopefully it will work out.
What a gorgeous and unique design! A truly stunning sweater. Well done Creations
It’s this pattern
And perfect for straight needles! All flat.
In fact my circulars are bugging me as my stitches are sticking at the cable to needle join which wouldn’t happen on a straight needles and they’d just glide effortlessly!
I’m making the long sleeve version but i think I’ll skip the lace pattern in the sleeves and just do plain sleeves. I’m using Drops Belle cotton linen mix as a budget yarn sub.
Considering it’s such a simple easy pattern to make the result is stunning to look at.
