And through some research (gotta love KH for that), she has knit with Malabrigo before.
I can’t think of anything else with out completely giving it away.
My partner wanted something soft in a shade of pink or red.
I am saying no more…
but looookie loooookie what I am putting in the mail tomorrow!!! They aren’t ‘perfect’… but I gave them all my love and learned so much with them. They fit well (though a bit big on me) and they are very soft. 
Not bad for my first pair of socks if I do say so myself!!! :mrgreen:

As for me, I got about halfway down the foot of sock #1 before I realized a mistake I made near the beginning of the instep. Bleh. Gah. and Drat. :!!!:

my gawd they feel like toothpicks. My husband told me I should have just gotten the wooden skewers out of the kitchen… love him. love him.

The good news is: I’m not dead, I have not yet coughed up my lungs (though we were worried for a minute there) my head has not exploded, and I have not harmed any member of my family during this extended time of plague-like illness that has swept through the land and rendered me useless to do anything but a. stare at the computer; b. lie in bed, moaning; or c. cough a lot.
The bad news: I have missed my self-imposed deadline of February first :shock: and I am currently working on Sock #1. Still. While you will receive a package by Valentine’s Day, I can no longer guarantee that it will have completed socks in it. :pout: I will guarantee, however, that when the finished socks arrive they will be freshly laundered and germ-free. And really pretty.
