Wow all those look great. I love all the different colors. I tried my first varigated dye the other day. The Blues are an acid dye and the other is koolaid.

Dustinac… LOVE :inlove::inlove:the happy yarn… It looks like cotton candy~!!!

Yummy~!

Everyones yarn looks so FABULOUS~!! Such vibrant, dreamy colors~!

here is my most recent dying… it’s not yarn, but it will be!

4 bombyx silk hankies, 16-20 grams total, dyed with food colors black, royal blue, and violet. i really like how the violet dyed this time. very vibrant!

this is the top side

and this is how the bottom looks, a little bit of white, but it should blend well when i spin it all together!

Gorgeous… Gorgeous… Gorgeous… I just love those colors.

thanks!

This is my recent dyeing. I dyed cascade fixations with procion dye.

lieke- that looks so summery! nice job! i haven’t tried dyeing cottons yet. i need to convince dh that i need a variety of procion dyes

I don’t have that much colors yet, but enough to dye and mix more colors. I’m pretty pleased with the result. Next step is mixing colors.

Oh that came out really nice… its so sunny bright. Pretty!

Good luck getting the DH to agree Jeanius…

:woot:Love the colors Lieke & jeanius80

last week i finished dyeing the last of my yarns and here they are…

i wasn’t too thrilled about that one until i wound it and saw all the variations of those colors

and this is one of my favorite color combos

and this is my small collection of yarns dyed by me

now i only have to decide on what to make with them

I dyed this yarn a few days ago. It’s Merino sock yarn.

Foxyie, those yarns are so pretty, I really the blue/green/yellow one

They all look amazing.

How nice!!!

My friends husband works for craft so I just got about 35 packs of koolaid!!! Ya, I can’t wait to dye some more!!!

Rorygilmore - that’s amazing! Those colors are so pretty!

Foxyie - I love  that blue green yellow! - its sort of what I’m hoping for when I do mine. Do you mind me asking what you used for dye? Forgive me if you posted what it was earlier - I forgot if you did.

You all inspire me!

thanks rorygilmore and threesmom!

and to threesmom, since there are 2 blue green yellow combos i’ll answer for both.

the bigger one on the right is Araucania Nature Wool dyed with food coloring, i mixed 4 different colors, green, aqua, teal and olive.

the yellow looking part is actually more lime greenish now, it was olive but when i cooked it the yellow came out alot more.

the one on th left is lions brand fishermans wool, dyed with koolaid only i’m pretty sure. lemonade and whatever flavor the blue pack is, mixed both of those to get the green.

Wow, these are some truly stunning yarns! :yay:
