Knitting Help T-shirts?

I got some ideas…

well I got creative too. After all I just created my own knitting t-shirt

Here goes:

Knittinghelp.com is the best way to avoid the frog and post the finished product on the blog.”

"It’s relaxing,…
It’s calming,…

Only AFTER you visit Knittinghelp.com!"

and my boyfriend came up with this simple one… But I added to it.

"Need help with your knitting needs?

(insert my drawing of 4 needs: 4 circles each encompassing a different need, one is twisted stitch, one is dropped stitch, one is ‘can’t purl’ and one is ‘newbie’)

on the back or bottom of the front it would say “knittinghelp.com

If I think of more or am able to scan my drawings, I will post more!

This isn’t an idea for the t-shirt, but I may use it to put on a bag from www.customglamgirl.com (awesome site) and it’s also on my aim profile:

screw being a neat freak i’m a knit freak :happydance:

OMG! I am going to spend so much money there!!!

Adding to that idea:

Knittinghelp.com

I’m psyched for a cool knitting bag!

Holly :XX:

New Idea … I don’t think I’ve read this one here yet … If it’s already posted, then ignore me …

Picture a lady (or man ;)) standing in front of a room of people. Maybe have a sign … “K.N.A Meeting Here” … (K.N.A = Knitters Non-Anonymous)

Lady-

Hello,

My name is Norma McKnitty and I’m a knitaholic.

Rest of the room:

Hellloooo Norma.

 What do you think? Maybe too offensive??? :??

It’s not the size of the needles, it’s what you do with them that counts.

I’m a dork.

OMG    I’m sold on this one!!! I know exactly where to put it too :inlove:

No you’re not!! That is pure genius!!

:rofling:  LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT! :rofling:

that’s awesome! I totally agree with Beldie: genius!!!

Yeah, the “Yarn Ho” logo from Knitty is not my taste either. Where I’m from, “Ho” is a shocking word; at least it’s not one I’d be comfortable using to refer to myself!
Heh heh - has anyone noticed that the editor of our wonderful Knittinghelp.com is Amy and the editor of Knitty.com is an AMy too?

Par-tee

:happydance:

Very interesting.

Thanks for the ideas everyone.

You wouldn’t believe how many Amy’s I meet in the knitting world. I must email one every week, for site Q’s or CD orders, etc., and I know there’s several designers named Amy that I’ve emailed.

My best friend growing up was named Amy, and I new 7 Amy’s in highschool. This Fall I even met an “Amy Johnson” which is my maiden name. Not that I was too surprised, there are 8 Amy Johnsons listed in my local dentist’s computer system. It’s nice to be Amy Finlay, now, and at least have an original last name! LOL.

Although I do have an original middle name. It’s “Sundari” which is hindu for “beauty.” My parents were hippies, and their yoga guru gave me the name.

Amy

That is SOOOOOO pretty!

So have we made any decisions regarding the t-shirt, or what?

:?? :?? :??

I love the iron-on patch idea. That way the kids who knit can have shirts to without Amy having to do too much extra.

i started reading these today, you gals are really creative
the iron on patch is a cool idea…
I would love to have a tote with a slogan on it. :stuck_out_tongue:

Amy, although Im sure that the whole thread is kinda “on the fence” as far as tastefulness goes, this idea was inspired by THIS THREAD

Front: Im KNOTTY or, GET KNOTTY (with a winking smiley)
Lower or back: knittinghelp.com

:rofling: hee hee hee! :rofling:

KellyK & Beldie that’s so funny! Okay, this is proof that you gals are having an influence on the prude in me. I like the Knotty idea! :rofling: If nothing else, I’ve got to do it just as a present to all you knotty gals. Hmmm, I think a thong might also be in order for that one. LOL.

DH has insisted on doing the lay-out for these shirts, because he’s got more of a graphics design eye than me. He’s already made me a new logo, and he’s worked on a couple of designs tonight! I hope to pursuade him to do them all this week, so I can have them all up next week!

…OKAY everyone,
Here are the designs I’m definitely doing:

 Ekgheiy’s idea of the Jumbled knitting terms, followed by “Got it? …knittinghelp.com”

 KellyK’s “I’ve found my knitch (@ knittinghelp.com)”, and maybe also “Scratch your Knitch” (should I, shouldn’t I?)

 KellyK’s Frog with the no symbol, and the words “Less frogging, more Fun.” Possibly items with just the no frog symbol.

 Flappy’s (+ Hildie’s) “I have a needle habit” (front), “and I’m getting help at knittinghelp.com” (back). Flappy’s concept, with Hildie’s watermark of knitting needles on the front.

 Mascarasnake’s “It’s not the size of the needles, it’s what you do with them that counts.”

 Beldie’s “Knotty” word (that KellyK thought would be a good shirt! Nice team work you two. ;))

Congratulations to all the ladies mentioned above. You will each be getting a complimentary shirt/item with your idea on it! (Surprise!) Check back next week. When I put up the store, just email me the link to the item you want, and the size you want, and your mailing address!

Thanks so much to EVERYONE who helped brainstorm, I’m sorry I couldn’t use every single idea, these were ALL awesome ideas you contributed, and I’m keeping a couple more on file for possible future use. You all rock!!

xoxo Amy
