Knitting Help T-shirts?

OMG AMY!!! WEEEEEEEEE!! I am sooo ecstatic!!! I want a knotty one, but ohhhh, I want the needle size one by mascarasnake. I said it once and I’ll say it again, that one is pure genius. A thong is a great idea too :eyebrow: Will it have zebra stripes on it too?

I think I’m going to cry…

Thank you! sniffle

:cheering: yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay everyone! we should go into advertising

YAYYYYYYYYY!
You know, sometimes it’s GOOD to be knotty!

Amy, truly, we love you just the way you are…and, I especially appreciate that inspite of the fact that we sometimes make you SQUIRM :? a little bit, KH.com is a place where we can all be ourselves and we all get along & have fun anyway. You really have created a FABULOUS community here!

AND, I am SO touched by your offer of a gift! That is SOOOO sweet of you! Now…how do I decide??? :?? I only ask that you choose some items that come in “more to love” sizes. :shifty:

HUGS to you, sweets!

IMHO, I kinda like “Scratch YOUR Knitch” better…then knittinghelp.com on the back.
(Can you put things on the backs? I think so…)

Maybe a pic of someone scratching their back with a knitting needle? I bet Sheldon will come up with something FABULOUS.

I can’t wait to have the finished products ready… :cheering:

Beldie, the Knotty idea is so you. Zebra stripes, eh? :rofling:

KellyK, “Scratch Your Knitch,” that’s what I wrote too. Am I missing something? You like it better than what I wrote? It’s the same thing, right? :??

I’m definitely choosing a variety of wearables, including ones with good size ranges. If you spot any styles you especially love, let me know! Diddo for all y’all (to use a KellyK expression) ;).

Amy

yes i meant to say that in my earlier post, but I forgot…thank you thank you for the offer of a tshirt! yippeee!!

You’ve all contributed so much to this site, it’s my pleasure.
xoxo
Amy

I feel… so…special

I thought you were having trouble deciding between “Ive found my knitch” and “Scratch your knitch”

And, really, “All y’all” isnt mine…it’s the plural of “Y’all”!

Oh, okay. Actually, I’ve definitely decided on doing “I’ve found my knitch.” I was just debating whether to also do “Scratch your knitch.” You like it better you say? Well that decides it then! I’ll go with both!

I knew you didn’t invent “All y’all,” I just thought I’d call it a Kelly-ism since you seem to be fond of it.

Amy

“Sometimes I like to be Knotty”

“Sometimes it’s good to be knotty”

“Get Knotty”

“I’m Feeling a Little Knotty” (I especially like this one! With or without “a little”)

“Feeling Knotty?”

I definitely think we need to have someone (a person knitting) or something (a frog?) WINKING :eyebrow: knott-ily. SHELDON…WORK YOUR MAGIC!!

Out of those ones, I like “Feeling Knotty?” the best. How about making the actual letters look like yarn? Even give it a tangled look a little bit as if it were in knots?

AWESOME, Beldie!

“Feeling Knotty” is my fav of those too.

I’ve been thinking of…

Knotty and Nice (Knotty but Nice?)
Momma’s Very Knotty (On baby clothes, or Kid’s T-shirt)

I also really like this simple one:
Knotty Girl

I have some bummer news. I just found out that Cafe Press limits you to one item of each product, unless you pay a monthly fee of about $5/month. :frowning: (Sneaky sneaky.) We have so many great ideas. I want to be able to offer it all. I think I’ll pay the fee, at least for now, and put up all the products I want. If they don’t sell, I’ll narrow it down later.

I’m trying to think of some good ideas for the Guy Knitters out there. Here are some I’m thinking of. (They’re a bit tongue-in-cheek, because I know guys are always being asked “Oh, do you knit?!!”, like, as they’re knitting…)

“No I don’t knit, I’m just trying to untangle these chopsticks.”
“Guy Knitter. Don’t have a heart attack.”
“My Great Grandfather taught your Grandmother to knit.” (Gotta love that one, because at one point it was a male-dominated activity.)
Picture of crossed knitting needles, with the words “Weapons of Mass Construction.” (Found that expression on a thread about guy knitters.)

I like the chopsticks and WOMC the best!

Well, I was thinking that the guys would probably just buy the “It’s not the size of the sticks …” items. (hee hee)

I like ‘Knotty and Nice’ and ‘Knotty Girl’.

Speaking of slogans (not to be ripped off obviously, but admired from afar), I love Jimmy Beans Wool’s on their website header: “Knittin’ Better to Do”. And have you seen their ad in IK? “WARNING: The constant rubbing of two stitcks together may produce fire. If this happens, you need more yarn.” I don’t know why, but this cracks me up.

Carol

Great Amy, love this idea and all the slogans ( I got to this late) Can’t wait to see them. (took me forever to figure out Knitch, geez)

Someday however, I think it would be really neat to print on the back of your shirt that incredible tip you give about Kitchener stitch.

I had to stare at those instructions each time when sewing up socks, like it was this crazy hard thing, but once I heard your little tip:

KP, PK the whole thing revealed itself in a FLASH! :cheering:

So, I had a vision of this on the back of your tee shirt:

(a picture of a yarn needle?) KP, PK = KITCHENER STITCH!

                                           or

KNIT PURL, PURL KNIT = KITCHENER STITCH

or something like that!

Like a little lesson for everyone. Yah, I know it’s not that SEXY!!!
but I still like it. (od’d on sexy at the moment except for Hildy’s suggestion about scantily clad men teaching knitting )
