That’s funny! My daughter turned 14 on Mother’s Day, and it was the 14th. Not quite the same as yours, but pretty close!
Any chance of your friends taking the young’uns so you can have a romantic birthday dinner with Mrs. J. Schmoley Louise??
I think you should do whatever you think is fun and would enjoy! We went to Disneyland for 30th anniversary! We had a great time!
Happy Birthday and Happy Father’s Day! (in case I don’t make it in tomorrow)
:balloons: Happy Birthday Joel!! :balloons:
You could just get in the car and drive; see where fate takes you!
Actually KK, the young’uns are at their grandparents in California for like 5-6 weeks… they should be there till sometime in July.
I am considering a couple of ideas:
- Swimming at the local rec center.
- Go up to Estes Park… they might still be holding the wool and fabric thingy up there… not sure.
- Go out to eat at either Red Lobster or Texas Roadhouse.
I guess I’ll figure this out later and let you all know what happened.
Thanks for the birthday/father’s day wishes everyone.
Hey JSL! Happy Early Birthday and Happy Father’s Day!
Although my birthday was last month, we are the same age! Too Cool!!
DH and I saw Cars on opening night (his idea, he gets a kick out of pixar stuff) and we thought it was HILL Arious!!! You gotta watch all the credits until the very very very very end too!!
Go and have a big old belly laugh, it’s good for the skin!
:roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard:
Happy Birthday, Joel!! :present:
Do whatever you want on your birthday!! Dinner out, for sure- movies are always fun- if you want to see Cars, then go for it! DH took our kids to see it last night and they all said that it was good.
Have a great day, whatever you do!! :cheering:
Hey, I wonder if they are puttin’ a Texas Roadhouse in up here in Fargo. There’s yet another restaurant going up here and although it’s just the skeleton so far, they have an American flag and a Texas flag flying on top of it. Whenever they build restaurants here, it seems to be a big secret until the last minute as to what the place is… no “coming soon!” signs or nothing… that bugs me for some silly reason…
There was a time when you couldn’t decide where to eat here…there were a handful of casualy eatin’ places for everyday, and then the “good” eating places. Now you can’t decide because there’s so freakin’ many places… one restaurant for every 250 people… gads!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Whatever you do - have lots of fun!!!
:verysad: You guys are way younger than me. I’m going to be 38 in November. :crying:
You’re younger than I, Lisa–I’m…forty.
I’m coping well, don’t you think?
:balloons: happy happy birthday!!! :balloons:
:present:
sings Oh happy day… oh happy day
This is actually the only line from the entire song that I know and it turns out to be appropriate for so many occasions that I’ve decided to keep it that way
:verysad: You guys are way younger than me. I’m going to be 38 in November. :crying:
Lisa, I’m in your age bracket!! I’ll be 37 next month…
:cheering: Hope ya had an AWESOME birthday, Joely!!
:cheering:
I turned 38 a week ago.
Thanks everyone… well I officially turned 37 today at 10:50 am EDT (8:50a my time). We’re definitely planning CARS… I’m looking up show times and we’re looking at a couple of different resteraunt ideas (Red Lobster, Joe’s Crab Shack, Texas Roadhouse). I’m considering suggesting swimming at our community pool later or maybe at the Rec Center. Not sure yet… just playing it by ear for now.
I’m waiting until just after 10a (my time) to call my father and wish him Happy Father’s Day. (That will give him time to get out of church.) He’s on EDT… so that will be after noon his time.
I’ll let you all know what we end up doing later…
Happy birthday, Joel! :cheering:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Way Younger??!!?? That’s like only 5 or 6 months missy! Besides 40 is the new 30, and I didn’t mind turning 30.
30 to 35 is a great age range I feel
