Whatcha' Knitting? September, 2025

Thank you. it’s knit on fairly large needles and works up quickly.

Thanks salmonmac, they’ll be going on a hanging mobile, hence the wardrobe  I’ve misplaced my tapestry needles so can’t finish them at this stage, hoping they’re not found the hard way, ouch!

Working on a t-shirt

The best yarn shop where I live is closing and there are weekly specials. I have scooped up some fantastic bargains - I won’t need to purchase yarn for a year - or at least until next week’s sale.

I have way too much yarn already and I’m still envious :joy: still a shame to lose a yarn store, though.

Yes, it is sad. The owner is closing for health reasons - she will be missed.

Finished my hoodie a few days back.

And back

The hood is a bit wide, I’m not sure which aspect of the design I’d need to change to make it a touch narrower, maybe the initial increases on the neck which give the overall stitch count. My short rows are a bit loose in the stitches and the overall shape is a touch lumpy too. Not bad for a first hood although I’d like to know how to improve.
Thanks to all who helped with the bits I wasn’t sure how to do.

Thanks. It feels very soft and warm but I haven’t worn it yet. Although I’m not 100% on the colour I chose I have enjoyed the yarn, a budget friendly, washing machine friendly, recycled acrylic, under £20 with yarn left over.

I am working on a square for the sock weight blanket I have planned. I just need about 15 more squares to knit then tI will block all squares 10 at ati8me and connect into a row with black sock yarn and when all are made into rows , connect them into the blanket to go into our car.
