Hopefully finish waheca hoodie, sew up the jinxed hoodie that is now a polo neck, get on you tube find out how do mattress stitch so I can sew a half fishermans rib outlander sweater together unfortunate sweater has been in sewing up pile since Xmas! Next up a james c brett poncho that I promised cousin I’d make for her I didn’t realise it needed stitches picking up to make a ribbed bottom my picking up looks a mess and I want to impress her so it’s going to be a scout around next village looking for a picker up of stitches fingers crossed as cousin is back April!

Plodding on with the cardigan (this will probably also be my answer is whatcha knitting April, too!)

Luckily I have a quality control inspector to help me :cat:

Weird thing with the photo, the knitting looks like it has lines in the pattern but I literally cannot see them in real life.

QC is vital. That inspector looks very picky to me.

Agree with Salmonmac it looks like more to security :grinning: god forbid someone mess with yarn thing:grin:

Looking great!

Looks so squishy, I have not knit with mohair either but keep thinking of it… so many things to try!

What is the pretty hem, is it just the cast on edge or something fancy? It looks fancy.

I have finished the main knitting for this cable/travelling stitches sweater and have started seaming. Shoulders are seamed, just started joining a sleeve, and the crumpled, thin, grey piece is the centre panel. I started the front with intarsia, had a lovely neat colour change at the cast on edge that I was happy with but as I worked up I didn’t like the ladder I was getting between the knits and purls on the intarsia colour change so I frogged it and worked it as a separate panel instead (adding an extra stitch each seam edge). I think the result will be much neater once its seamed.
Then the neck… and that is generally where I rip out 3, 4, 5 times, before I get something I’m happy with.

The knitting is done on this pair of fingerless mitts. Just need to weave in ends, block and stitch up the sides. Took a very simple basic pattern and applied what I have learned from Johnny Vasquez colorwork teachings last year to do a little modification.
So I added a latvian braid at the transition between stockinette and garter stitch (the garter is where the thumb whole will be) and a little bit of mosiac colorwork just before the ribbing.

These will help keep my hands warm next month when we go to Oregon for a couple of automotive swapmeets.

These mitts work amazingly well at keeping your hands warm (and stylish!).

The modifications are lovely. A one off pair off mitts.

I am knitting The Chroi cardigan by Helene Metcalfe with Loops & Threads Luxe Merino in plum. I have finished the ribbing and will start the lace panel tomorrow. I spent a lot of time reading the pattern and think I understand the instructions - but I am sure I will need some help before I finish.
