What have you made with Malabrigo?

I took advantage of the sale at Chez Casuelle last month and bought a healthy amount of the mmmmmmm. Now what? LOL

What have you made with it? What would you like to make? I’m looking for some ideas :happydance: I have a nice amount in the worsted weight and a few hanks of the super bulky.

Thanks!

I have made a couple of scrunchable scarves and one very nice sweater. I want to make another sweater soon.

I have made myself . Heh.
As far as FOs–I made a long scrunchable scarf and a set of Fetching out of two skeins. And I made my mom a Coronet hat (which my dad promptly felted ) with another. I still have the leftovers from that ball and I pet it occasionally.

I’d LOVE to make a cushy winter sweater out of Malabrigo someday. And find a reason to purchase and use their new laceweight.

I think it’d make a great set of legwarmers or armwarmers if you’re into that sort of thing, same with a vest. Or an earflap hat!

I made a Clapotis with it. MMMMmmmm is just so soft that when I got it, I just wanted to wrap myself in it…so I made something I could literally wrap myself in…lol

I made Wicked from Zephyr Style.

WHy don’t you use it to make a clapotis and join our knitalong. It is a really fun pattern to knit. I started one this week.

I bought some on sale and plan to make a WICKED sweater.

2 scrunchables, one almost-finished pair of fingerless mitts, Wicked sweater, the hooded scarf/bonnet from Knit 2 Together, and a hat. I have some in my stash (some? a LOT, really) that is designated for other projects, mostly sweaters.

Flared rib scarf (below) and I have three hanks set aside for some leaves of whimsy projects :inlove:

I made a hat last week and I’m making another one with the rest of that skein, and I have a fantasy of making a big sweater for next winter with a bunch of different colors…

I made clapotis, took less than 4 hanks, worsted weight…

Thus far I’ve knit fingerless gloves, a hat and 1 1/2 scarves.
I would LOVE to have a cardi knit with Mmmmmmmm, but it just doesn’t get that cold here, so I will stick with accessories, but oh, isn’t it yummy?! I read a review that I received in my email today about a yarn that is coming out that has the characteristics of Mmmmmmm with cashmere, too…sounds yummilicious, too:heart:

Thanks for all the ideas, everyone!

To those who’ve made a sweater with it, does it grow a lot? I think I remember reading on one of the KALs that the mmmmmm grew after a while. But I’ve had my eye on Wicked for a WHILE!

Rebecca, I love those gloves! I can see me now, knitting gloves (and scarves) in Mid May! HAHAH! My husband would commit me for sure.

Keep the ideas and pics coming!

Hey Vicky, I just found a Mmmmmmm online source here in the EU. I ordered 4 skeins (at € 8.50 each) of a gorgeous blue that I want to knit a clapotis with. I can’t wait till my package arrives!!

I made extra-long lace-up fingerless gloves from alterknits. for my aunt, who declines to take a picture, but they looked like this only longer and bluer, with burgundy ribbons.
I’m definitely making another pair, but for now I only have some lace I want to make a cardigan with.

Rebecca, those gloves are great!

Jeannette, do you mind sharing your EU source? Us expats have to stick together

I’m using some burgandy mmmmmalabrigo for Paton’s Urban Aran, and it’s working up beautifully.

I’ve made about 5 different scarves with MMMMMMMM. I love how soft it is and how it feels. Great for around one’s neck.

I made a skirt but I really don’t like it so I’m going to frog it and do something else with my pretties.

:muah::hug:

Nadja :knitting:

:drool:i have some and was wondering the same thing! those of you who knit wicked with mmmm, how many hanks does it take? i have been wanting to knit this, and in mmm would be wonderful:heart:
