Hi, I’m a Newbie here. Learned to knit as a child & have forgotten lots. Joined up here as I’m bewildered by some instructions in patterns & love learning new skills. Have taught myself several new (to me) knitting skills via YouTube, but there’s nothing like a supportive community. So grateful to people happy to share their knowledge! Thank you in advance.

Greetings fellow knitters! I am actually new to knitting–and am loving it (when I am not getting frustrated). I started out with a fair isle sweater and thanks to YouTube, I’ve learned a great deal and have managed to make advances. So far. I am hoping to learn more here–and possibly share what I’ve learned along the way.

Welcome to Knitting help forum. If you need help just post in the forum that is about and someone will post an answer. I am nearly 70 but sometimes it can be frustrating to know where to get answers. I am a self-taught knitter, taught myslf from a booklet when I was in high school back in the mid 1970’s

hi my name is Nancy &:I knit quite a bit. my new pattern says T2 which means Twist 2. please tell me how to do this. next it says K 2nd stitch & then knit 1st stitch & slip both stitches off needle together. Seems this would effectively make a twist so is that all it is or do I have to take some other action to T2.thanks

T2 can be easily done just as your pattern states and that’s all you need to do. There are a couple of ways to work this but here’s a video for the way your pattern is recommending for a twist the leans right.

Welcome to the forum ! I am a self-taught knitter
Hi everyone. Have been knitting for about 9 months now and am about to move away from scarfs and bobble hats to attempt a tank top for my other half. It’s a bit daunting. Currently trying to get the needle size right from tension squares!
