Welcome to the KnittingHelp forum! ...Introduce yourself!

Welcome! I find it very helpful to just read the daily posts. I won’t remember all of it, but I do remember that somebody asked about something similar, and that I can find an answer here. I’ve learned a LOT just by reading!

Welcome, Paul, to knitting help from another male knitter. We do exist. :vulcan_salute:

Somewhere on here is a conversation thread about Men knitting in public. Found the link. It is an old thread, but proof we do exist. :slightly_smiling_face:

A post was split to a new topic: Mitred edge borders

Hi, I’m Sue

Just realized that I have never introduced myself here!

I’m Leslie, one of those “third culture kids” in academic language. I have been living in Germany since 2018. I lived in Westchester and NYC for 7 years and I really miss being here.

I started knitting in December 2024 and cannot really imagine getting through a day without touching my knitting needles.

I taught myself knitting from everything that I could find on the internet, this site has helped me a lot!

Welcome to KnittingHelp!
It’s a terrific group of knitters and many crocheters with lots of helpful tips and advice. Thanks for joining the group.

Hi! I started knitting when my first granddaughter was born! I started with a hat with a floral border! I never know how to ease into something! The hat turned out okay but a bit large for a newborn! I have knit several sweated and many scarves and wraps but with time in between so I always feel like a beginner with every project!

I’m very happy I found this site so I can get help with all my questions! Thank you!

Welcome Josephine_Frie!
Sounds like many great projects. A hat that’s too big is probably perfect for a baby.
We’re happy to have your questions and comments. We love to see projects in progress or completed too.

Hi there. Longtime knitter, getting just a tad (cough) bit forgetful and needing the hive mind to help sort me out now and then. So glad to be here.

Welcome to the forum!
