Hi everybody!!! Ha. Braden… last post I see, way back in February. There may not be too many people visiting because I’ve been so bad at posting here and on others blogs but I think it’s time to reappear, and esp in honour of two things: my getting my teeth fixed finally after 8 years of a black front tooth…
and reuniting with my gorgeous young niece who I spoke with last night after 4 years of not speaking. Here is her picture!
shoot. thwarted already. I’ve tried 3 times to upload 2 pix but they keep saying too big. Hm. I received them by email and for some reason they won’t resize in Picasa Export.
I will try a few of me instead!
A little late but better than never:
The Rhinebeck Wool & Sheep Festival 2007
Okey doke. That worked. Funny, sometimes they won’t upload but when I try a few times again, then they do even though I didn’t do any more resizing. Hm.
I will go away a bit and come back with more pix later! I’ve finished a pink Reading in Bed shrug… working on the Einstein coat :knitting: just made a pair of Maine Morning Knits…
oh and I did my first Intarsia, I think this qualifies as intarsia? This sweet little headband: (see if I can sneak another pic in)
Well! Scratch all of the above. I guess it’s all about persistence because here are the pix!!!
once again, my gorgeous niece Samantha:
Ha! It worked! That only took 2 hours. Blogging ain’t easy is it?
hugs & kisses…

Great photos, but which one are you??! I’m assuming that’s not you in the red shirt. :teehee:
Hi Victoria–it’s good to see you “out” again–although I hardly am at all… I haven’t been feeling up to doing anything, but I lurk a bit. I’m glad to see you are doing good, an LOOKING good, and feeling good about yourself!! And that you went to Rhinebeck and wow! INTARSIA!! YUM!
And your niece looks like a model!
I’m trying to finish up my pitiful Christmas knitting–don’t expect much to actually get done. Finances are stressing me out so much–I can’t concentrate on much else! argh
Hope you are enjoying your place in the Catskills with your…CATS!!:teehee: And Peter, of course!
Oh geez, I’m so silly, I posted and then I didn’t even check back.
Well! It’s a new year and a new month and for some reason, I’m rocketing into the computer world with not one blog but a Big Blog that I hope I can make a success.[B] But first off, thanks for the hellos Jan and Ellen (Trudy). That’s me in the purple bandana Jan! of course, ha… that seems like ages ago and it was only October.
I hope you’re feeling a bit better Trudy, good to hear from you. Yeah, can you believe I actually went to a knit in two nights ago. Called New York City Knitters, I found them on Ravelry and of all things!!! they were meeting right…across…the…street from my apartment, at Cozi, this sandwich place. So how could I not go! There were about 20 knitters and, how weird, I was actually nervous. Really nervous although I kept denying it. It turned out to be pretty darn neat and I even learned some great great tips and saw some beautiful projects that I’d like to try. There was a real mix up of ladies (no men) from quite older to quite young. And such different techniques… wow. I’ll have to post more about those.
My dh says I don’t get out enough and he’s right. One can get addicted to staying home, esp if you don’t have a job.
The other GOOD NEWS is I have become a "working artist’ as the lovely Lizabelle says. Lizabelle has a little store in Margaretville, NY called
The Lost Art of Living and it’s all handcrafted stuff.
(she makes beautiful sandals that she sells for a fortune) (http://lizabelleleather.com)
Well I SOLD TWO HATS over Christmas. I didn’t even find out til 2 weeks ago coz I wasn’t upstate much and she has yet to pay me. But! I said I wanted $50 per hat and she added her % on so I think! she sold them for something like $67 CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!
I’ll let you know the amount (hopefully I’ll get the $ but she has a policy of 30 days waiting for return items before paying) I’m so p r o u d.
So I’m working on more hats!
Anyhoo… If anyone wants to check out my new blog, I’m still creating it and it will change a lot including the title. Right now it’s
http://victorianewyork.blogspot.com/
But I’m changing that. I have to learn how to do all those links including ones that make you some money. (ha)
But I just love to knit! soooooo It’s hard dividing the time between computer and knitting. For some reason I got a real creative buzz going on re writing/computer so I’m going to go for it. Um, Bobby Flay’s showing this gorgeous shrimp on the grill…with fried green tomatoes and The Hungry Detective just ate some fried green tomatoes with a cayenne mayo sasla, ummmm. Making me hungry.
ok, all for now! Oh, starting the first sleeve on my Einstein coat today! (who is that cute Braden?)

Bumping to say hi to a very dear friend
I cooked and ate fried green tomatoes for the very first time last year. They were alright, but I had no idea if they were done right.
It’s nice reading through your updates and I checked out your blog too. Love your pictures and you look gorgeous as usual. Makes me want to go to NY and Catskills. I read a book that mentioned Catskills in it and I thought of my friend Vic
Ha ha, I can’t believe it, after all this time!
Happy Autumn … I have precisely 11 days left of this age of mine and time to move on to the next one (birthday). BELDY! I love you think of me when you hear Catskills, maybe you will make it out to visit someday! I just, in fact, left there this morning after a 2 week stay… back in the city for a week. The Catskills are orange and red and yellow right now… oh, I will post a picture I took this morning. How are you! I hope all is well with your babies (I know they’re not babies but… children sounds dull) and you are having fun these days. Glad you took a look at my other blogsite which I don’t keep up as much as I’d like BUT I joined a writing group (in the Catskills) focusing on memoir writing and I also, lo and behold got a job which I haven’t had for years. At a book store, a beautiful beautiful antique book store. wait this is too big It’s only one day a week but I’m already filling in other days when my coworker is absent etc etc and I read marvelous books all day, it’s pretty cool.
Other than that??? Knitting (are you still???) lots of things, just finishing a gorgeous alpaca shrug. Anyhoo, where the heck did I mention fried green tomatoes? It’s good to hear from you and esp to hear I have a friend (currently my dh is NOT my friend, what a jerk he can be) Oh well. Write more! What are you doing?.

Vic
