Toy KAL (Knit or Crochet)

Hello everyone! :waving:

UPDATE: Since our July 2008 Toy Knit-Along was such a success, we’ve decided to keep it going indefinitely! So if you want to join us in making toys with yarn, you are more than welcome!

I’m SO excited to host my very first monthly KH Knit-Along.

Last year, I was always interested in watching Hildie or Braden post the latest knit-along. I can’t believe I’m doing it this time!
:woohoo:

Anyway…back to business.

Our July KAL is TOYS!

You can knit or crochet any toy of your choice this month.

I’m planning on making one of the animals from the Alan Dart"Noah’s Ark" pattern I got with a recent “Simply Knitting” magazine. I’m also interested in the patterns by Jean Greenhowe. And there are many others that appeal to me as well.

I’ve never knit or crochet a toy before, but I figure that summer is a perfect time to do it. You only need little bits of yarn, and the project shouldn’t take too long.

So, look through your patterns, choose a toy to make, and get crackin!

Says the toy making Queen!

Your toys are always gorgeous.

Not sure I’d get to finish my toy by the end of the month but it’s something to aim for.

I am sure you will finish it.:)…

Race ya !!!:happydance:

Cool!

I know what you mean. I barely have time to eat! :roflhard:

Go for it, my friend!

:woohoo:

I still haven’t decided what I’m going to make. I’ll probably end up making a pebble baby. :teehee:

I bought some stuffing today so I’ve got to finish the toy now. I might have to redo a leg, seems one is a little longer than the other, whoops!

Rita wouldn’t have done that!:teehee:

I have looked around and I am still deciding…
But I do think I will make Kate the Cat though:

But I thought that I would share one of the pics I have of some toys I crocheted.
