Strawberry Sundae arrived today. I’ll work on getting a border put on in a few weeks.
Also I received an email from the coordinator in my area for the Project Linus organization. This is where the blankets that don’t already have intended destinations will go to. http://www.projectlinus.org/
Here is what was replied to me!
“Danielle, we would be glad to get the blankets your group has made. I deliver to the hospitals, cps, casa and anywhere there is a need. If you are located in the Longview area, the drop off place is Sharmans Sewing Ctr. Please put your name/names of thoses making the blankets so I will know where they come from. Many times I receive a thank you card from the one that received the blanket and by putting your name on the blanket, they know who made it. Thanks so much. I will add you to my list. Donnie”
I will be sure to include any notebooks/papers that we write on so that it may be included with the blanket!
DD and I have a stack of blankets and hats that we would love to donate. Could we add them to our groups things that get taken to Project Linus? We need a good place to send them to. Thanks.
Hi y’all! I do have the Smurf blanket ready to go and just gave up trying to catch up on messages. The holidays were wonderful (love being with the grandbaby), then last weekend I went on a retreat with girlfriends. Now everything is settling back into routine and I am ready, willing and able to knit on blankets again.
Thanks ladies for keeping the group going as well as you do.
Tyler’s blanket (greens) should be ready to be in the mail by mid week. I’ve got about an inch and a half to go! The nausea is so bad in the evenings. Makes it hard to knit for long periods of time. Sorry for the hold up!
I didn’t see a blanket with my name on it…did I miss it? I can’t seem to start on any new projects this weekend…at least with an oddball I can get someone else to start it for me :teehee:
I’ll be in California this week for my great-nephew’s first birthday and back on the 26th.
I received the completed candy corn blanket. It’s beautiful! I’ll work on getting the borders on the other blanket or two and start boxing them up to deliever them to Longview to the Linus Project rep. Thanks again ladies!
