You should definitely get in contact with the company about your experience! :-x
I hate when you are a good paying customer and the employees treat you like crap(most of the time it’s the other way around though). :wall:

Why do I feel like you are starting your blog all over again? :teehee:
We have quite a bit in common. I see that at one point you visited KY?
I love Sims and Sims 2, but ours is on PS2. I haven’t played for a long time.
You already know about me and Animal Crossing.
Here’s a picture of my Snoopy for you.
Ok, just so you don’t think I have finally lost it. Before I posted that last post I ended up on your page where you listed 100 things about you. Don’t know how I got there  But that’s why I commented on starting your blog all over again. :wall:
Sometimes I just know this computer is out to get me. :biting:
What a day, Sandy! You must have been exhausted!
Just in the FYI category, the reason the dressing for the Mandarin Chicken Salad is so bad for people who are counting Weight Watchers points (and people watching their caloric intake in general) is because it has 250 calories, 19 g of fat and no fiber, so if you’re counting WW points, it amounts to 7 - and my daily total for points, not including extras, is 20! So if I eat that on a day I’m counting, that’s a huge proportion of my daily allotment of food - definitely would leave me hungry the rest of the day! Just FWIW…
Stoopid fish-place-that-I’ve-never-heard-of! I know the job sucks, but don’t take it out on perfectly nice customers! (Save it for the lousy ones.)
I was at a bar with ESPN on the teevee last night and one of the names on the screen was “Gordon Johncock.” No idea who he is, but that’s even worse than the “Mike Dick” I went to school with.
Sandy - I would email the company and complain. That is terrible! The very least they can do is send you some coupons for food!
Kind of reminds me of the joke at the beginning of Annie Hall - two old people complaining about the food - one saying “This food is terrible,” and the other saying “I know, and such small portions!” Giving Sandy coupons for more of the food she found awful… :teehee:
I’d call that particular rest. and ask to speak to the manager. Forget emailing the company–that will take too long.
Yes, but I was about 8 years old at the time, so I can’t remember much. :teehee:
I was ABSORBED by the original PC version, and had all the expansion packs. (9 games in all) When I tried Sims 2, it was a whole new world, and I decided to cut the cord and move on with my life. I never got any expansion packs for that one, and ended up selling it on eBay. Then, I started concentrating on knitting instead. ![]()
Yay!!! Snoopy from Genny is on my computer desktop now!!!
:happydance: :cheering:
:cheering: :happydance:
Susan, I wanted to say, way to go on the WW accomplishment! :cheering: :cheering: And Stine… yeah, I know (about DH still eating fast food after reading the book)… he’s in denial, I think!
Karen, I only eat a couple meals a day. I really should eat more often, because I know it’s healthier, but my schedule really limits my eating time. So, I guess the Mandarin Chicken Salad is not that bad for me.
I wake up, take thyroid medicine, wait an hour and eat a muffin or a bowl of cereal. If I have time before teaching, I’ll grab a sandwich. If not, I just wait for a nice dinner with Marvin. Sometimes, Marvin works nights, and I have to eat on my own.
I will occasionally snack, but I don’t eat that much when I do. Sometimes, just a few cookies with milk, or a bowl of ice cream, or a handful of Tostitoes. I love to eat apples and oranges, too. And microwave popcorn is good too. (light butter)
On days I’m not teaching, I eat a little more. But, I never go overboard with food. I think I’m pretty good at watching calories, for the most part.
The thing I need more of is EXERCISE. I love to go for walks, but my knee hurts so bad now that I can’t do it anymore. Makes me so mad, because I KNOW that if I could get out and walk again, the pounds would disappear. I do have a membership at the spa, but again, my knee prohibits me from doing the good exercise. Maybe I should just FORCE my leg to do the work, but I’m afraid that I’ll injure it further, and won’t be able to play organ at church on Sundays. So, I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place. :?
I used to know a guy named Dick Johnson. :roflhard:
Can’t you swim, Sandy? That’s not hard on the knees (unless they’re hurting already, which might present problems).
Yeah, that’s the only exercise I get at the aquatic center. I swim about 7 laps each time I go. But, I haven’t lost a pound…in fact, I’ve GAINED! :-x
:pout:
Swim more, eat fewer calories. Blech. :pout: Of course the benefit of weight loss is that your knees will be happier. I’ve lost weight over the last few months and my knees don’t bother me as much as they did. They’re still a bit arthritic and are affected by the weather, but they don’t ache like they did. Docs say losing just 5 to 10lbs can significantly lessen knee pain.
Sandy, I promise after this posting I’ll lay off the subject… I hate to sound preachy or obnoxious and butt in where I shouldn’t. But about diet (meaning what a person eats, not “dieting”), since you’ve posted what you’ve had to eat on various days, I’ve been able to check out the Weight Watchers point values for some of them - it doesn’t make much sense perhaps if you haven’t looked into the system, but I find it easier than trying to calculate calories, fat and fiber on my own and add that up for a given day. So as an example, for me (5’6", 127-130 pounds give or take on any given day), the total points I should aim for on a given day is 20 - plus 35 extra points to distribute over the course of the week, plus additional points you earn for exercise. (I’m using the WW system because, as I said, it’s what I’m familiar with.)
This is the website I was using to find the values http://www.healthdiscovery.net/restaurants/index.html - it’s not an official WW site, but since I do the WW thing alone at home, not going to meetings, I don’t have access to an official site (but do have materials that came with the kit I bought a number of years ago). So, for instance, a Whopper is 16 points - which means with one sandwich I’d have used all but 4 points (which is equivalent to, say, 2 cups of Cheerios) for the entire day. A Chick-Fil-A sandwich is 9 points - almost half a day’s points for me. I can’t find the Captain D’s fish sandwich on the list, but their broiled chicken sandwich is 11 points, and the fried okra is 7, so that would be all but 2 of my entire day’s points. And a small Coffee Coolatta is 6.
The only reason I’m pointing that out is to say that, without looking into the actual calorie and fat content of what I was eating (or in my case, the points value), I was hugely off on how much I was eating. It’s easy to misjudge, is all. So perhaps if you’re frustrated with the pounds not coming off, it’s worth looking into…
I hope I haven’t been insulting by posting this… I only mean to mention what’s been helpful to me (I’ve lost and kept off 20 pounds with this… this and Synthroid, I mean…). And I promise to lay off the topic now.

Tell me about it! (Arthritic knees, I mean… :pout: ) I feel your pain… :teehee: but :pout:
It’s just occurred to me, Sandy… have you had your thyroid levels checked recently? In my case, I had to have my Synthroid dosage upped at the beginning of this year because my Hashimoto’s turns out to be getting worse… maybe that’s part of the problem?
