I’ve finally convinced him they don’t give him baths to hurt him. He actually said thank you to one of the nurses once she wrapped his arm back up yesterday. It rips my heart out to hear him screaming during the bandage changes but leaving the room & making him go it alone is not an option - some of the parents here do that. He has a radio & a TV in his room but all he can focus on at this point is the pain - we’re working on it. I have tried talking to him about the movie that he watches ALL the time - yup same movie over & over again all day every day for the last 3 weeks. I can quote the whole thing in my sleep at this point :teehee: It’s Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey & he watches it b/c of the Bulldog since we have one. So I am going to ask a big favor - if anyone can find a stuffed animal that looks anything like Zeus & would be willing to send it to him I will pay all expenses. I have talked to the girls here & he can have it if we put it in a plastic biohazard bag.
Also if anyone can find a stuffed dog that looks like Ben’s dog Mr. Bones same thing. Ben is holding up very well except for missing his pooch terribly - he goes into my Flickr account every time we are in our room to look at pics of him.
Goodness, my heart goes out to you, You are a very strong woman to stand by your son as he goes through those bandage changes. A support group is here to listen to all your concerns when your up or your down, never ever feel like you are whinning!! What brave little boys you have, to think the youngest was quick enough to think of getting water, and Austin, well he just has to be the strongest to go through all he does.

Thank you for letting us know Auburn. My thoughts and prayers are with her. This is such a difficult and sad time for her and her family.
Build a bear has a border collie that kinda looks like Mr. Bones. Zeus is going to be a tough one I bet. I’ll let my mom know and maybe one of her friend can help out 
they all have differnt breeds so I’m sure we can find Zeus.
I have been away for so long I didn’t realize there was a whole thread here. I am so sorry to hear about this rabbit. My heart truly goes out to you. You will need a safe place to cry and vent and whine when you need to. I think this is the right place.
I will remember you every night in my prayers and pray this little boy heals up super fast.
Rabbit I never got the feeling you were whining. I agree with everybody else. you need to vent whine scream and cry or whatever gets you through this. You definitely must not keep it inside, it would be soul destroying in the end. It breaks my heart to hear what Austin has to go through, can’t imagine what it is doing to yours. Think about you and your family everyday.
You do know that you will have to warn the hospital that they will now be inundated with stuffed dogs. I will be on the look out to see what I can find.

I put together an extra special package just for you, it will be in the mail tomorrow. Auburnchick was kind enough to pm me the shriners’ address, so it will be going there.
Just a note, a friend of mine, Amy, aka Knitswithisis on Ravelry, gave me some very lovely help with the package. She picked out the … um… yarn…I don’t see her often, so she was unable to sign the card with me. And um… the thing on the thing… it’s a rabbit. You’ll know when you get it.
That’s the only hints you get.
I hope you like the goodies, I adore putting together pressies for others, and this was my personal mission these past 2 months.
Please dont’ think that the rest of your family especially darling Austin isn’t in my thoughts, they are, I just thought you deserved a treat for yourself. I can only imagine that being a mommy in this situation, you have probably put aside the things you love to be there for your family. This is just to remind you of what an awesome person you are and give you a reward.
