Yay! Lovely pictures!
I was getting all excited to see it finished. I never finished my square, either.
So glad you like it Amy! Thank goodness Sheldon was there with the camera…I can only imagine what you might have been thinking. Thanks so much for posting the pics. We’ve all been dying of impatience and stalking the usps site to see when you got it!
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAYY, she has it!!
My goodness, Amy, you have no idea what kinds of pins and needles we’ve been on, tracking that package and worrying over each of our individual squares, etc.
You’ll see when you read the forum that for each completed square, we each had one or two that ended up in the frog pond.
I am so glad you love it! Use it in good health!
Thank you Sheldon for participating in our conspiracy! Great pictures! This was such an exciting project. It was really lots of fun. Big thanks to Norman for setting up the website and to Kellyk and all the seamers. You deserve a huge round of applause! :cheering:
:cheering: I am so glad you finally have it!!! Thank you so much for posting the pictures! I know that I for one would not be a knitter if it wasn’t for you and I know that holds true for many others as well!
Thank you!!!
Your reaction was so wonderful and Sheldon is a doll to have been “the man” with the camera.
 I think calling it an “afghan” might be misleading - it’s huge! Lots of love involved there! There is also a great deal of appreciation for your tremendous gift to all knitters!
Do you have any idea how amazing it is that this was kept a secret? I kept waiting for someone to slip! :rofling:
Enjoy it and know that it was made with love!
Ang
yeah I don’t have to keep that big secret anymore. And you look so happy, it was worth it just to see that! Yeah Amy thanks so much for bringing this happy group of people together.

Amy,
I’m ‘SO’ glad you posted the photos so we could see your “priceless” reaction.
There were many of us that wished we could be seamer’s and join in on the party.
Your husband did a super job.
It was fun and I’m SO VERY happy for you,
Susie
WOW.
That Afghan is absolutely gorgeous!!! Congrats Amy for being the recipient and congrats to everyone that made such beautiful squares. I love the colors.
Would it be possible to find out who did the pattern in pic #18 (in Amy’s first post)? and where did you get the pattern? it’s a white square with a lot of bobbles, and it’s awesome. I am in the process of making an afghan (not THAT big!) and still want ideas for square patterns.
Thanks! And Enjoy it Amy!!!
:cheering: :cheering: :cheering: I am soo glad that you love it! You are more than worth every stitch! I saw pics from before it was sent but man I had no idea it was that big! Brings a whole new meaning to the word Ginormous! :roflhard: Keeping quiet was definatly hard!
Much love to you!
Sheldon: Thoes pics are great
Thanks a ton!
are you talking about the flowers? that one was Silver’s and i believe it was her own creation if i remember correctly.
YAY Amy!! So glad you finally got it!
Look at how happy… awwww
Great job, Sheldon
and Amy, we’re so glad you like it…
That big 'ol blankie looks so pretty, everyone did an awesome job, especially Kelly with her killer organizational skills ;), Norman/Dave putting up that website :notworthy:, the poor seamers who had to put that behemoth together (with minimal alcoholic assistance, in order to keep those seams straight :rofling: ) and of course all the awesome KH’ers…
YAY! I’m so glad it finally came! Not only do I wish I could have joined the seaming party, but I wish I could have been the delivery person! So thanks for posting the pictures so quickly. I can’t believe we started this thing 2 months ago. It’s so hard to keep secrets this good!
You are so amazing and awesome and sweet and generous and lovely and everything else! Thanks for creating such an great community and knitting family here at KH!
See what you don’t realize is that I really didn’t DO anything…
Without you, Dave, we wouldn’t have had a center of covert operations! Don’t sell yourself short!
:cheering: :cheering: This afghan and pillows were truly a labor of love, Amy! I’m so glad you love it! Thanks for all you do!!
Jan

do you mean Silveridger? I just read her post and she wasn’t part of the project. Any other ideas who it belongs to and how i can get my anxious little hands on the pattern???
you did tooooo dave!!!
and What Ingrid said!!!
Any way we could get a pic of you AND Sheldon??? all wrapped up???
OMG I decide to actually DO some work instead of stalking the forums and LOOK WHAT HAPPENS!!!

Amy…we LOVE ya!

I have to say how PROUD I am of how this whole project came together. I have never in my life experienced such cooperation and comeraderie in such a large group! YOU set the bar for this, Amy…the same love that runs through KH ran AMOK through The Amy Project.
My personal THANKS to all the KHers who participated SO generously and thoughtfully and with such humor and love…who kept me CALM during my near psychotic breaks during the organizational process! :roflhard:

And, OMG, Dave…you are the absolute BEST!
Amy, you didnt see all of the extra “goodies” that came in the mail with so many squares…folks sent “chocolate fuel” for the seamers, and SWEET little gifts for Howie, and donations for postage and more. I know you feel proud now, but you should feel PROUDER!
SO hard to keep that secret! T’was funny…when TAP site went up, I was SO worried that Amy was going to worry why her hit numbers were suddenly falling! Our biggest accomplishment MAY have been keeping up both here AND there! :roflhard:
LUV LUV LUV to EVERYONE!!!
