Oddball Preemie Blankets - Our Blankets were DELIVERED!

Renna,

You should be able to use the link for your pictures in Picasa here. What you do is copy the link, then come here, into a message, and click on the little picture button up in the toolbar (beside the paperclip with red X through it). When you click on the picture button, a window pops up, where you can paste the link inside. Then click okay. Voila. Your picture is inserted.

Okay, I’m hanging my ignorance out for all to see…, but, what link? For instance, when I want to put a picture into my blog, I open the Picasa program on my computer, click onto the pic I want in my blog (which sends it to a holding tray at the bottom), then I click the ā€œBlog Thisā€ button and voila’, the pictures go to my blog. I don’t have a link per se, though. :??

Cool! Have fun with both of them!

You’ll see the button when you post a message, but it won’t work if you only use the ā€œreplyā€ button on a message.

Here’s what you have to do…

Click ā€œPost Replyā€ at the bottom left of the page.

You will get a webpage that looks like this:

Click the button on the right that looks like a little mountain.

And you will get a little pop-up window that looks like this:

Just enter the link to your photo there, and it should work.

For whatever reason (me doing something wrong, I’m sure :?? ), I couldn’t get it to work that way. I did, however, discover some buttons at the bottom of the ā€œedit signatureā€ area that I hadn’t noticed before. (option 1 and option 2). I chose one of those and was able to successfully upload the picture from my computer files. :shifty:

PS-Thank you, ladies, for your help!

Ok. I created a Picasa album for myself so I could learn.

Bring up the picture on the screen and look for ā€œLink to This Photoā€ on the right of the screen:

Now, click on that, and some options open up below (compare the shot below with the one above).

Now, what you’ll want to do is select your size first. Click on the arrow beside Thumbnail. I usually select medium. It fits nicely on KH that way.

Then, click in the box that says paste link in email or IM. Then, you can RIGHT-CLICK (click the right button on your mouse), and select copy.

Now, go to the KH site, into a new message, and click on the little box that Shandeh pointed out in her picture. When you have the window open, click the right mouse button again, and select PASTE. Then click Ok.

Wanna know something…I just tested my instructions, and they don’t seem to work. They should, but they don’t. Must be a glitch with Picasa.

Here’s the easy way.

With you picture on the screen, right-click on the picture, and select copy. Come over to this window (KH), open a new message, and right-click, and select paste.

Hope this works.

Thanks, Nathalie. I’m going to go fiddle with it some more. I do have the button in my sig line now, but I’d like to be able to do it from Picasa.

Hi there,
Sunny Meadow is on its way to MAmaDawn in Virgina. Here are links to pics:

Oh wow! That yarn is simply gorgeous!!! :inlove:

You picked the perfect stitch to go along with it too!

I love it!!! :inlove:
Your photos are superb, as well.

Okay…now that I am finally getting caught up with the current blankets, I have made plans for some more.

Here are the names of our new blankets. Anyone want to join a particular blanket?

Easter Bonnet
Pink Princess
Forest Greens
Ocean Blues

hmmm…how about ocean blues for me…haven’t used blue yet…

Thanks!

I’m happy to help on Forest Greens, since the only Soft DK yarn I have is green! :teehee:

Thanks, Nathalie :muah:, it’s called Turtle Stitch. It’s such a happy little stitch, there is something about it that always makes me smile.

Hey Spikey, we are trading blankets… kinda neat… :teehee:

Excellent!

I just got home from seeing a friends band tonight and found a lovely package on my front step!:woohoo: I have already searched my stash and found a yarn that I think will be lovely, a raspberry pink color…now what stitch? I think I will get up early so I can work on it a bit before I have to go to work! Thanks Sandy for the pattern booklet. I will make sure to post some pics when I get done.

Pink Princess, please!

Thanks!

Ocean Blues? I’ve got some blue DK in my stash. Pretty please with sugar on top??? :teehee:

That IS neat!

You’re welcome!

I have heard from several of you, and now have a list of knitters started for each blanket:

ā€œEaster Bonnetā€ will be started by stagebear. We need 4 more knitters for that one.

ā€œPink Princessā€ still needs 3 knitters.

ā€œForest Greensā€ also needs 3 knitters.

ā€œOcean Bluesā€ has room for 2 more knitters.
