Oddball Preemie Blankets - Our Blankets were DELIVERED!

CUTE! CUTE!

Very sweet-looking…I can’t wait for it to come my way!

I received the yarn and needles for Ocean Waves. Thanks, Shandeh, for the bag of goodies that accompanied these items! :muah:

I’ll cast on tomorrow and post a picture when I’m done.

The other blankets are looking lovely! Everyone is doing a GREAT job!

I received Spring Fling from Shandeh this weekend and I’ve already got about an inch knitted on it. I should be ready to mail out by Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest.

Shandeh - Thanks so much for the goodies! It’s perfect to keep those in the kitchen for when I have company (about every weekend now).

Here’s what I’m thinking of doing for the Ocean Waves blanket…

It’s really a simple pattern. I thought it might be really pretty as each knitter adds a different “ocean” color. It wouldn’t be a requirement to keep the pattern going, but it would be fun. I would still go with a garter border at the bottom and sides.

What do you think?

I think that stitch pattern would be great! It looks like a feather and fan, is it?

It is very similar. I googled “ripple” because I’ve seen some blankets with a wavy pattern to them.

I saw, during my search, a ripple blanket with different colors…blues, whites, and greens. It was gorgeous.

I just didn’t want to put anything out there that would be too complicated or intimidating for the other knitters.

See how creative you are?

You’re too kind, Gail. It’s easy to look at someone else’s work and imitate it.

Thanks for the sweet words. A doll is what you are!

I have finished my section of the Sweethearts blanket. It’s ready for the next knitter.

Cloud Nine went out in the mail today to gmmarton. She should have it by the end of the week. I’ll try and post pictures soon.

Summer Blossoms will be sent tomorrow (Priority Mail) to knitttina.

The confirmation number is: 01038555749463929013

I received “Angel Kisses” in the mail today from Rennagayle. It is just as beautiful as the picture posted on the Blog. Nice work, ladies…and thanks for the pattern. I need all the help I can get!!!

I love how that yarn and your knitting created “impressionistic” flowers! :inlove: Lovely!

You’re welcome!

You’re welcome! I’ll check on the next knitter for ya.

I love it! We may not be able to use it for a hospital because of the lacy pattern, but I’m sure I’ll find a way for it to be used. (Maybe a Crisis Pregnancy center)

I forgot to post the blanket I started! :teehee:

I finished the start of “Forest Greens” FINALLY!!!

England Blankets - Update!

Here is an update of our Preemie Blankets being worked on by our knitters in England:

“Loving Hearts” - almost complete, but it seems to be lost in the mail. :pout:
“Sweethearts”, “Spring Flowers” & “Angel Hugs” - only 2 sections left.

And we are starting 3 new blankets as well!
“Summer Fun”, “Lullaby Land”, and “Little Boy Blue”
(We still need 2 knitters in England for “Little Boy Blue”)

When ever you start blankets for the UK just put me on the list, I am always available. Don’t need to ask. Also always happy to start one if needed.

Oh no it’s not! It turned up at my house this morning!!!

I must have missed the post about the Lulla bye blanket. Nikkilc if you want a break I will take it after Pauline.

Thank goodness for that!!!
