Oddball Blanket #1 is Complete!

lestrella- I did get it! That is so cool, I wish I could think of things like that. Now I have a keepsake to remember the blanket by.

I think I will put a lifeline in the blanket before I start on it. Would you all rather me put it back in on my last row or take it out?

letah- I feel the same way!

GennyLynn, I got your voice message on my phone earlier! It was so nice to hear your voice!!! Sorry I didn’t answer the phone, but I was in the middle of choir rehearsal at church. :teehee:

Do you have a photo of the little card? I saw it when Lestrella came to visit me this week, and it is so PRECIOUS!!!

And I think a lifeline is a GREAT idea. When you finish your rows, we’ll check with the next person to see if they want the lifeline put in the last row.

And letah, I just LOVE your sentiments about KH and the incredible way it has impacted our lives.
:muah:  :muah:  :muah:

I think the lifeline is an exellent idea!! :cheering: :cheering:

Did I miss something? Where is the post about the lifeline.

Umm…just go back a few posts. :teehee: Genny posted about it.

I think the lifeline is a good idea too…

 Ok, I saw it…but, uh, I’ve never done a lifeline. I get the concept, but is that just so if the next person needs to frog, they will not accidentally frog your portion?

yeppers… A lifeline is just exactly for that! i think its a wonderful idea… i would hate to accidently ruin someones hard work b/c i goofed on my portion… :pout: go genny for being thoughtful!

I got started on the blanket last night, I knit about 2 rows. :teehee:

The lifeline is in it, if any of you have read about my knitting you know I have a frog addiction, I feel better with it in there. I’m glad you all thought it was a good idea. When I’m ready to pass the blanket to the next person I’ll ask her if she wants it to stay in.

Sandy - it was good to hear your voice too, even if it was on the answering machine. I’ll give you a call again sometime and this time I’ll try to remember to give you my number. :teehee:

Here is a picture of the card, it’s a wonderful keepsake, thanks again Lestrella.

Yay! I’m next in line!! :happydance:

Umm…I now know what a lifeline is, thanks to the post above, but umm…I have no idea how to make one, or how to take one out! I had never even heard of a lifeline before today! :pout:

I’m pretty sure theres a video on the site. I just dont know where

Your wish is my command!

Here is Amy’s excellent video on how to insert and use a LIFELINE!

Here’s another one;
Using a lifeline

Using a lifeline is easier than having to frog a whole piece of work and starting over. With a lifeline, if you have to frog it will stop where the lifeline is and you can insert your needles there and go on from that point.

The first row with a lifeline can be a bit tight to knit, but really it is not bad at all.

Wow! I wish I woulda known about lifelines before! They could have been a big help to me in previous projects.

Thanks for the link, Shandeh!

Sure thing, my friend!

Can you still get in on this? I would love to do it if possible!!

Sure you can! Just send me a PM with your mailing address, and I’ll put you on the list for Blanket #2!

I have to say that a lifeline is a genius idea Genny!

The mini blanket card is too cute! What a great keep sake.

Everyone is getting their rows done so quickly, I can’t believe it is on the 4th knitter already. My turn wil be coming sooner than I thought :happydance: You all are the best :muah:

Thanks Holly

I have such a habit of frogging that now I use lifelines in everything I knit, even squares. :teehee:

I love the mini card too, I’m such a sap for keepsakes, for some reason they are important to me. I think I get that from my mom.

We were really busy this weekend which meant no knitting time for me, but I do have about 1 1/2 inches on the blanket done.
