Jodstr2's blahg

what yarn are you using, it looks so pretty!

thanks amp! :heart::smiley:
the scarf yarn is Koigu KPPPM, the bags are a combo of Cascade 220 and Kureyon.

I decided to drive to a LYS to use my $10 disct there on the Vogue Knitting book today :heart: :happydance:. I’ve been wanting that book for a while and I think I’m now at a point where I can look over most of the stuff in it without feeling completely :??.

I went online when I got home and ordered 8 balls of KnitPicks’ Sock Garden to make 4 chevron scarves for our charity holiday booth. I’m committed to the 4 scarves and 2 felted bags for that event.

last night, I worked a bit more on the bubble bag for my friend Nikki. the chevron scarf is fun and is still humming along, albeit slowly. I needed a change. the Kureyon #150 and a dark grey Cascade 220 is looking good together so far.

I finally shipped Auntie’s bubble bag off to Seattle this morning.

have a nice Friday night everyone :heart:!
I’m off to :XX: while DH tries out his 2 new XBox games (Father’s Day gifts)…

Nikki’s bag is done! :smiley:
now to finish the chevron scarf, 2 replacement hats, Guidepost Charity sweater, my sweater, and 2 bags for Mom to give as gifts.

WOW, Jod! You with all the COLORS! You know how to pick 'em…

aw! thanks Kelly! :heart::smiley:

:oo: :shifty:

I, umm, sort of took the afternoon off to umm, wait for the arrival of my first KnitPicks order

:oo: :shifty:

Don’t worry … this is the one place in the world where everyone else understands and encourages this type of behavior. We’d be there waiting with you if we could. :lol:

I avoid having to do that by having my yarn delivered to work! :cheering:

I can’t say that the receptionist is quite as enthusiastic about it as I am…I go up there like, 3 times a day to check for packages.

hey! i took of of work today too!!! and I was off yesterday! and the day before! and the day before that! and all last week! and tomorrow! and next week! and the rest of the summer! :happydance: :happydance: :happydance: :happydance: hehehe.

the only downside is that i never get packages in the mail. DH is ALWAYS getting something from ebay or guitar center or whatever… I just feel guilty buying stuff online. Oh well, think i’ll go browse knitpicks anyway :slight_smile:

Did you get your yarn in jodstr?

no yarn yet :pray:, but UPS has delivered to my house as late as like 8 PM.

I normally have stuff delivered to J’s shop. for some brainfarted :?? reason I spaced it on this order and had it delivered to the house.

wish I could depend on stuff at work being delivered to me on time, or at all :mad:! it’s kind of a huge facility, with 3 different receiving docks. there are problems with work stuff being delivered to me, and the headache that causes. I don’t think I can handle the headache AND HEARTACHE of trying to track down YARN deliveries to work :wall: :verysad:!

crosses fingers it’s ok tho, I have lots do to keep me occupied - laundry, dishes, starting dinner… sigh

it’s here! arrived @ 6:15! :happydance:

OMG!!! Now I HAVE to place the Knitpicks order I’ve been thinking about!

What are you making with all those luscious yarns?

thanks Sara! :heart::smiley:

they’ll be made into scarves to be sold at a work holiday fair for charity. our booth gives all proceeds to Next Door Solutions (a family shelter).

KnitPicks seems to have best prices around on this kind of yarn! :smiley:

PREEEEEEEEEETY!!!

Im waiting for a KP order myself…some for ME and some for my proj with my peeps!

:cheering: yay it’s here! i love yarn.

I want to order some to make socks. Any idea if a skein makes a whole pair or would I need 2 skeins? It doesn’t say on the site. Unless I missed it.

Its going to depend on the sock pattern you use…take a look at the yardage.

Knit Picks, in their print catalogue, says you will need 2 balls for a pair of socks. So many colors—so many choices----I don’t know which to pick!

The yarn is beeeeyoootiful! I’m thinking that KnitPicks owes Amy a commission or something because of all the free advertising they’re getting through this forum!

My folks are visiting right now, and my mom started leafing through the KnitPicks catalog and picked this for me to knit for her. :doh: I don’t know if I’m capable of knitting something that big. But, we’ll see. The price is certainly right, and it would give me a good excuse to buy that Elizabeth Zimmerman book!! :lol:
