Oh boy…been a long time since I posted in my blog. :rollseyes:
We went on vacation last week to Vancouver Island to visit a group of internet photographers. We stayed at Oyster Bay Resort and it was such a neat place!
I don’t have a lot of pics processed yet, but here’s a few.

Ohhh! I forgot that we visited an alpaca farm in Washington on the way back to the airport! They are soooooo cute! The yarn was too expensive for my budget ($22-32 a skein) :shock: , but I did fondle it. :roflhard: I SO have to have something made of alpaca now! Maybe pajamas… or underwear.

Thanks! I got the teddy at the alpaca ranch we visited. It was called Alpacas of Misty Ridge. They had an adorable stuffed alpaca made of alpaca like the teddy, but it was $70 and I couldn’t see spending that much on a tiny stuffed critter. :rollseyes: :lol:
How long have you been a photographer Jan?
Funny thing is I hardly consider myself a real photographer. What has made the difference for me I think is in the way I look at photos. I try more often to take “photographs” and not “snapshots.” There are always the quick snapshots of things, but when I’m out I try to see things in a different way.
I’ve never made any money taking photos and probably won’t, but I do enjoy it. I’m on my 4th digital camera now and each one has been a step up in difficulty and quality. To answer your question, I guess I started taking photos maybe 6 or 7 yrs ago.

And yes, it does have sweaterness–that makes working on it easier, I’m sure! (All I have with Tubey is a sleeve…that’s not very exciting!)
You started on the sleeve, Angelia? Granted this is my first sweater, but I thought you always did the sleeves after you did the body. :??
It’s Tubey, so the shrug is knit first, then stitches picked up (and some cast on) for the body.
I guess that did sound weird! :rofling:
Unless the sleeves are knit onto the body, I ALWAYS do the sleeves first. It helps me get used to any pattern stitches or color changes involved, I can double check my gauge without having a huge back to take out if it doesn’t work, and I guess because of the increasing required and really hate to do them. If I do them first when the yarn and pattern are ‘new’, they don’t seem like a burden. I also always do them at the same time so I’m forced to get two done. It also ensures that they’ll be the same length and width.
Since I don’t like doing them, it also ensures that I finished the sweater, just because I already did the &&^& sleeves!
