We just redecorated our office which is where I also keep my knitting stuff. I had yarn all over the place in bags, a drawer thing, a wheeled yarn thing…etc. When we were at Ikea buying furniture for the room we saw this thing in the kids section. It’s probably meant for stuffed animals, but it works great for yarn and it looks kind of cool in here! Oh and also a picture of Marshmallow sleeping “her” chair.
Marshmallow looks so comfy and adorable!! I love that yarn storage idea - you can still look at it when it is up!
I’m imagining my living room with the yarn storage things hanging down like cocoons. The kids could use the room as a maze! A bit hard to see the TV, though.
Jan- I love your yarn storage thing!! That is really creative! I should get me one
.
I love Marshmallow, she is so adorable!!
Here’s a link to the storage thingy. The good thing is they are cheap!
Thanks for the link
I love the pink one, but I can’t get it online…in stores only and there’s not one in NC. I wonder if bed bath & beyond would have them??
I’ll have to check.
I love your cat!!
Here’s a dumb question, but is there a hole at every level? And
Marshmallow
Oh, loverly Marshie!!!

I’m really drawn to those storage thingies, but we’ve nowhere to put them. If not in the computer room or the bedroom, both of which are closed off to kitties, then the storage thingy would just become a cat bed.
Yeah, there’s a hole on every level. 2 on each side… or well it’s round, but you know what I mean.
I was afraid it would be a problem with Marshy, but she checked it out and decided to leave it alone. Good thing since I don’t know if it would support her weight as well as the yarn! Yarn weighs more than I thought!
Marshmallow IS a loverly cat! She’s on the chair again right now. ![]()
Aw!!! Snuggle her for me!
Okay, will do! Actually she’s so darn soft I’m ALWAYS burying my face in her fur!
I know–that fuzzy softness is soooo hard to resist! In fact, it’s simply impossible!

I have way too many unorganized snaps to go through, but I did find a few school pictures. No kindergarten one in that folder except the class pic, but I did find a second and third grade picture. I cleaned them up a little, but the moire pattern is hard to get rid of w/o blurring the pic. No scanner so I had to take a photo of them.
:cheering: I love the curls around your face in that top picture!!
Heh…thanks! My hair is stick straight so I think my mom did the pin curl thing before picture day. ![]()
Oh how cute, Jan!!

I love pincurls! My mom used to try those on my hair, but they never took.
Colorized photo of me in 2nd grade. I posted this in Ingy’s blog, but here it is, too. I took some liberties with the dress because I wasn’t sure what color it was…I think it was blue though. My hair is actually a little lighter, but it looks pretty good, no?
Before

After

Even if it wasn’t blue, it looks great with your blue eyes. If I get motivated, maybe I’ll scan and colorize my self portraits later. They’re sort of entertaining. They’re black and white negatives. When we got the assignment, I decided there was no way I wanted to enlarge and develope a photo with my own eyes staring at me, so I thought of some ways to get around it. :rofling:
Somehow it was more magical when my dad did it! He also used to go into his make-shift dark room and say he was going to blow up a picture. He’d go in with a small one and make sounds like he was blowing up a balloon and came out with a big one. Boy did we fall for that one! :rofling:
