Ingrid has come in out of the yard

It could be a dominance thing, or just a different food to try. Ava’s food is up on a counter, so it’s not as if there’s competition for her food. I’ll just have to make sure the kitten has food when Ava’s sleeping one of her 20 hours a day.

It might be because the older cat was there first, and she try to keep the kitten in check.

Look who’s getting along! :happydance:

Awwww! So cute, Ingrid!

Awwwww. :inlove: I just love kitties. All cat should have at least one sibling, shouldn’t they???

Are they sharing food yet? :oo:

The kitten food disappears at an alarming rate, so hopefully Crayola is getting some of it!

Ava’s still a bit rough with her, but Crayola doesn’t complain. Yesterday Ava was giving her a bath, so I think they’ll be friends for life. And yes, Hildie, I definitely see the value of feline siblings (or herds :teehee: ).

Look at the two of them! :inlove: :inlove: I’m glad that they are getting along well! Our two certianly hate eachother 1% of the time but they are sad when the other is around - it is so nice for pets to have friends!

Awwww that’s so cute! I wish mine would get along. I think Marshmallow is just too old to deal with the kitten though. Actually she’s not a “kitten” anymore since she’s now 1yr old. Glad yours are getting along!

Are Crayola’s paws crossed in that picture? :inlove: I love when animals do that! They are so cute together!

In light of our new look, I thought I’d bring my blog up to date a bit.

The kitties are getting along, I only have 18 days of school (with students) left, I have gone completely insane with new yarn purchases , pictures of which I will post when I can get daylight pictures since some is sooooo beeeeutiful I can’t even stand it.

In the meantime, I’ve been knitting a blanket with Encore. Go figure.. It has to be machine washable, though.

Next week I go with some students to a work program every morning for about 3 hours. All I have to do is be present. That’s 3 hours of extra sittin’ and knittin’ a day. Things have been so insane at work with the end coming, that it will be such a welcome relief! That will be followed by a 4-day weekend with my son and his gf visiting, and right into June. The light at the end of the tunnel is starting to shine through.:happydance:

Yes, yarn pics! And, I got out of school today, and we’re out for 3 months!

Crayola likes the new set up.

:teehee:

Awww!

:cheering: Love it!!

Love your new Avatar!

Tag, you’re it

I think everyone in the universe has been tagged, but I’ll give my 7 random things.

 1. If I could live on coffee, I would.
 2. I hate to clean, but love a clean house.
 3. I look a lot older than I feel–who’s that woman in the mirror?
 4. I used to play clarinet.
 5. I grew up in the Bronx and that gives me ‘creds’ with my students even though it’s not the same anymore.
 6. I am definitely a cat person.
 7. I’ve never gotten a ticket, parking or speeding.

That’s one cute kitten! Clever too reading the forum at such a young age!

I’ve gotten a parking ticket  and a speeding ticket  The parking ticket was a total  because my friend and I were talking about feeding the meter as we drove up to Nyack. And then we parked and forgot to feed the meter.

I just paid my first speeding ticket…apparently, the trooper has tickets from 2004, and the only reason I had mine taken care of was because I called because I’m moving.
