Ok, I got my camera. I’m going to try to load a pic.
All righty then! I did it! I picked the name because when I was a teenager I had a friend that couldn’t say Ingrid–it came out like ‘ingrate’ which just wouldn’t do. So my nickname for a while was Grit, which rhymes with knit, so its a start. Now, what’s next. . .
Well it’s a start. Figure best to start somewhere. Funny pic by the way. :rofling: as far as the nickname goes, I wouldn’t stand for “ingrate” either, nor would I sit for it. I’ll just be happy calling you Ingrid
I’d prefer that, anyway. I can always change the blog thing. I only could get that picture to load. It was on the computer anyway. I’m trying to figure out the easy way to get pics from the Kodak Easy Share place to here. Any suggestions?
hmm, well you could always put an external link to the pic’s in your blog. the only other way I could think of would be to copy the pics to your computer from easyshare, then post 'em here.
HI INGRID!!! :waving: :waving:
I use www.photobucket.com for my image hosting…it’s very simple and they give you the code righ tin your photo album to put pics in your posts.
So how 'bout 100 things, Ingrid?
Here’s the start:
- Ingrid is techno-disabled.
YAYYYY INGRID’S BLOGGG!!!
About the camera…if you connect the cam to a USB port with the cable provided, your pics should download automatically as soon as you turn on the camera…
The software is pretty easy to use…
Whoa, is that Technical speak I see from KellyK’s keyboard? WOOOOOW, I think the general computing public’s IQ has gone up by a single point. Though from the customers I get everyday, you couldn’t tell.
:roflhard: I am a tech-support person’s DREAM caller!
Plus, I am the one that recommended this camera to Ingrid…I had BETTER be able to help her use it!! :shifty:
Kelly-(or anyone else who can help me )
I can get the pics to load just fine. My problem is with the size. I opened an account at Photobucket, and played with that for a while, but I like the fact that I can just plug in the camera and put the pics on my computer–with the Kodak program, that’s a no muss, no fuss operation.
I just can’t get them small enough. At 1:30 this morning I temporarily gave up. Any insight would be greatly appreciated, especially if it’s for the Kodak program and you don’t assume I actually knot the difference between a url and a tag and a whatever.
I’ll try again when I get home. I remember other people having this problem, so I’ll try a search, too.
Thanks!
OH! I can help with that!
After you download the pics, right click on one & choose “edit”. When you are done with your edits choose “save as”, choose whichever directory you like in the upper left-hand corner, name your file at the bottom, choose the file format (“save as type”…I like jpeg…its a smaller file than a .gif) and then choose “best for web” in “resize picture” menu at the bottom left.
Ok, thank you so much. I can’t wait to get home and try this. I managed to edit and save. I didn’t notice the ‘save as type’, and didn’t see that other menu. :happydance: I owe you one!
YAY Ingrid!! :balloons: :balloons: :cheering: :cheering:
I’m glad you found a name for your blog, and are working on the pic thing. Pretty soon I’ll be the only one around here who doesn’t have a camera.
Thanks for all the great help to all the KHers. I all the new friends I’ve found here, not to mention your awesome expertise.
HAPPY KNITTING (WITH PICTURES!!) :happydance: :happydance:
Mary
You owe me SEVERAL after the way you’ve picked on me!!!
I can think of a VERY easy way to solve that problem, Mary!!
Kelly,
I can too, but too much SEX has depleted tohe budget.
A camera may have to go on my Xmas list though.
DS is starting a photography major in college this fall, so he should be able to get me a good deal on one, then I’ll be the one with all the questions. :??

What goes around, comes around, my dear. How about a piece of pie?
I got a good deal at Overstock.com for the camera. It’s very nice. It can do videos, too!
I like pie.
YAY! I’m so glad you got your camera! Love that kitty pic, by the way.
How are you liking it so far?
