Notes
Normally, it takes no time at all to finish a scarf. However, this one was cursed. I had to frog so many times, had tangles that almost drove me to hanging myself with the twisted yarn, wrist pain, lost cable needle….
Ever since I saw noro, I wanted to make a cabled scarf with it. I also wanted to make a modular hat, but that’s another project.
Normally, I wouldn’t purchase kureyon for wearing, but I got it less than half the price. So, I couldn’t resist making this scarf.
Thinking back, I’d go up a size in needles. I didn’t realize that my cabled knitting would be so tight.
And just when I bind off, and need to block it….I can’t find my wool wash
Further notes:
I used four balls of noro. I’d actually recommend silk garden as it is much softer. I just got this noro on sale. So the scarf cost 20 bucks. Not bad…and as soon as I find my wool wash, I’ll soak it. That seems to soften up noro a little bit.
And if you like this wait until you see the modular hat I’m making with silk garden. I’m also making cabled fingerless gloves with noro. They have to take a break though as I need to start DH’s scarf.
mwedzi: my project list is huge too. It grows daily.
