I used Noro color number 165 and it is 55 inches long. I’m short so I didn’t need it to be 66 inches long. Plus, if it went to 66 inches, it would take another ball making it 5 balls of noro instead of 4.
It has blocked wonderfully. My wool wash is still MIA, so I’ll soak it as soon as I find it.
I was thinking of other options for this scarf. Cables and colors always have some awe to them when combined. So other yarns that would also look nice are Karaoke, Rowan Tapestry, or any yarn with color shifts and large self striping bands. I wouldn’t go with a bulky yarn. It’s an awefully big scarf.
I’m wearing it out to some yarn stores today. I’m searching for a yarn to do a Clapotis in besides Lion and Lamb. There’s also a “matching” hat and fingerless gloves coming for the noro scarf. I just have to get past knitting for the holidays.
