Hi Holly!
I’m using some Red Heart Super Saver, and some Mainstay yarn.
I also have some TLC yarn. These are all 4-ply worsted 100% acrylic (washable/affordable, etc).
Hope this helps!

I’m suprised that they didn’t ask for a soft yarn. I was kinda thinking that RHSS would be a little bit rough. :??
Thanks! I found some homespun and simply soft in my stash. I started one tonight. I will definitely keep you all posted!
Hello all! I started and finished one tonight, pictures comings soon!
I can never get over how small these are!
I used a pink Peter Pan Baby Yarn (I think that’s the name, bought for another project and it was left over; an acrylic and Plymouth Dream baby in white.)
I’m in too!! My former yarn swap pal, Gardenmommy, gave me some TLC baby in a pretty powder blue sparkle. I just cast on, so hopefully I’ll finish one before work this afternoon!
Welcome Tammy! Glad to have you joining us, sounds like a great way to use Swap goodies!
I finished my first one today!
I cast on for another a few minutes ago. I love how fast these are to knit! It breaks my heart at how small they are.
I will try to post pics when I have a few done!
Way to go Holly! :cheering: I like your idea to use Homespun too. I have some of that in my stash and will try my 2nd one in knitting with this (my first was done in crochet)
We’re already past 10 hats and it hasn’t yet been a week! :woohoo:
Here is my first hat, crocheted with some (unknown brand) acrylic yarn…
Awww that’s so cute Marce!
I’m about finished with my first one, so I should have it done within the next hour.
I’ve got three done. I think I’ve got the pattern memorized now. They are so easy and so fun to knit up.
:teehee: Ain’t this the ca-yootest thread in the land?
I got just one done late last Sunday night and now that the weekend is here, I’ll start more… I have started out with some Baby Teri I had from an Easter Bunny I made last spring for my godson…and this stuff is nice ans soft!
When I have more than one or two done I’ll take some snaps to post!
This is a great idea–I have some extra Cotton Ease that I think would work well.
Jennelle - how’d you do?? Lemme know if I should put you on the ticker!!
Tammy those look FAB!!! Such nice yarns, they look soft and very nice for baby hats - way to go!! :cheering:
BinkyKat - welcome :waving: , and YAY for getting one done! I love the idea of using up yarn left over from other projects. Stash busting is great for this!
Mer - jump in any time!! Love to see what you knit up (or crochet)
Still havn’t finished it. The other day I stopped and went for my sewing machine. :teehee:
Great looking caps, knitters! I’m knitting one right now & should finish today. I’m using Bernat Softee Baby–I’ve got LOADS of this stuff that was supposed to be a blanket, but I just couldn’t continue with the boringness of that project. I’m glad I can use all this acrylic for something good.
Me again. I was wondering if anyone is knitting this project in the round? I just finished my first cap & I’m not crazy about the seam–I’m not good with seams & mine seems bulky & like it might be uncomfortable against a tender head. I think I’m going to try my next one on DPNs & see if I like that better.
I was thinking the same thing. I hate to seam. Let me know if you try it and how it turns out.
Sure thing. I’ll start on another cap today.
