Caps to the Capital KAL- Mailing Update on P. 11!

Marce came up with the idea to make a KAL for Caps to the Capital.(Click Here for the thread in general knitting)

Who all is joining in?

I would LOVE to!!!
Maybe I’ll be the first from North Dakota!

I’m in! :cheering:

This deadline of January 2nd gives us all time to do at least one. This is also a great stash buster since it doesn’t seem to require much yarn (they’re so tiny!! :pout: )

I’ll keep a running count of how many you each report out here that are finished. If you can take pictures before you mail yours in, post them out here too!

sigh KH’ers are awesome!!

What great timing. I’m getting ready to start on some hats any day now for this charity. I’ll be glad to post my pics & numbers.

Ooops!!! I completely forgot to say THANKS JENELLE for starting this thread.

I have added our “ticker” to my signature to keep a count of our hats. When you make some just post them out here and I’ll keep it updated.

:cheering:

Count me in!

No problem!

I currently have one on the needles. I’m going to try to finish it tonight.

Oh, Marce, I think it’s a great idea that you are keeping count! :cheering:

I have two done, but I have no batteries for my camera and can’t find the cord to attach it to my computer. So…no pics.

No worries! We’ll take your word for it

Here are some photos of the cap I finished last night.

First, I took a picture of it on my ball winder…but it looks kind of indecent. :teehee:

Next, I took a picture of it on a can of almonds. The little can suddenly looked like an angry rapper.

So, after searching a little while, I found the small baby doll I use for modeling my other preemie creations. Voila!

Here’s my 2nd Caps to the Capitol Cap.
(Man that’s a lot of “CAPS”!) :teehee:

Alright Shandeh!!! :cheering: Your commentary made me :roflhard:

Pretty colors too!

I’m in!

I’ve crocheted 5 so far – I’d like to work up a few more, and I’ll probably end up crocheting them too. (I’m a much faster crocheter than a knitter.)

I’ll have to dig up the cord for my camera and post pics later!

Thanks for starting this Janelle!!
I’m in! What type of yarn is everyone using??

FANTASTIC!! I’ll update our cap counter, and we look forward to the pics!

:woohoo:

I used Red Heart Baby Sport in the shade “Gumdrop” for my first hat, and Caron Simply Soft Baby Sport in yellow and lime green for the second hat.

Hey Sandy!

Thanks to your tagline, I’m joining both the Red Scarf project and the 25 Knits for Charity group. These are great ways to give back and to use up some yarn that I don’t have earmarked for anything else.

Woo hoo!

I’m so glad to see that my links are effective!

And I’m not a BIT surprised to see that my former yarn swap pal has a heart of GOLD!!!
:muah:

I love that charity link page, because there is something that EVERYONE has a heart for there.
