Blanket pattern suggestions please

That is exactly how it works. You are wrapping the needle 4 times before knitting the stitch. When you have finished the row you slip everything to the right hand needle. That unravels the 4 turns you have made In row 7 and make very large loops that you use to cross over. The trickiest part for me was remembering to wrap the needle 2 times when knitting row eight. You need that looseness for row 1 I think to help create the hole that looks like a diamond. The only time I got confused was i incorrectly counted the 1st 6 rows and did 7 instead. So when I went and did the crisscross pattern it was slanting the wrong way. Took me awhile to figure that out because I had a hard time counting the rows with this yarn.
