According to Wikipedia, there is some disagreement about whether the original name of the tape was “duct tape” or “duck tape”. There are advocates on both sides.

In either case, it’s the shiny silver tape - but it does come in other colors, like bright orange and camouflage.

And, just to confuse things, there is something different called duct tape outside the US.

Duck tape is a brand isn’t it?
