Gina~ Hope the meds and the splints will help you. Glad you were finally able to get in to see someone and that she is following up with some more tests.
Gina I hope that you will get some help from the medicine and splints.
Karina Happy Birthday
Christine Glad your yarn finally arrived. I bet you wish that you hadn’t started the other socks now
Silegose The yarn I am using for the socks is Meilenweit Cotton Fantasy. You can see it here: http://www.estelledesigns.ca/images/Lana%20Grossa/Lana%20Grossa%20Yarns.htm
Lisa1216 That is actually a pillow under my socks

OA, ick. Hope the splints help some…still looking forward to working on your shawl. You & Dotty have made me very thankful for the use of my hands. Do you know how to crochet? May that wouldn’t hurt as much. I saw a book at Michaels on how to crochet socks yesterday. I learned to crochet almost 20 years ago (that makes me sound old) truth is I learned when I was about 5 or 6.
Gina, I hope the meds and splints help, and that you get some answers from the blood tests!
Karina, happy birthday! Nice haul!
Christine, WOO HOO, yarn!
:balloons: Happy Birthday Karina, very pretty yarn!!
The.Knitter :woohoo: for yarn!!
Sue~:inlove: so pretty!!
Gina
Thank you for all you birthday wishes. I did as i was told and sat down and knitted on my sock, only to have just found that somehow in the two days that I haven’t touched them the stitch markers have somehow moved over a stitch and the decreasing was of center starting from round 26. since it was at the front of the sock I just had to frog all the progress that was done today. I was within a couple of rows of starting the Heel flap. I think I will leave it for tonight and start again tomorrow.
o that sucks, sorry to hear that. I had to frog 32 rounds once on my last pair of socks-I was a little peeved.
on another note I’ve finished the leg of simply cables #2 & am ready to start the heel flap; probably tomorrow.
Mornin’ Jackie!
I see that a lot of you guys belong to the sockamania club knitalong, how do you become a member of that. I did send a email to the address on the web site but so far no response. Does it take a while to get a reply or is it closed to new members?
Spend quite a bit of time on ravelry looking for ideas for my yarn. entered the yarn in my stash and no picture comes up do I have to take a photo of all the yarn I enter and post them my self.
Just about midnight here so off to bed I go. good night all.
Morning, I had a wonderful time chatting online with Julie (way across the other side of the world) yesterday. Isnt tech a wonderful babe !
Also started to knit on Simply Cable, CO72, 2 toe-up sock on a cir. Now at the inc of the toe. I use the KP Felici Coastal, 3mm as this is the only one colour that is close to SC, and a man’s colour. Felici comes in a ball, jus nice, still looking for ball winder. I bot 2 balls, hope it is enough.
Havent have a chance to use my newly purchase CTH yet…
Gina - Now that the cause is known, we can tackle the pain, take yr med. regularly and try to relax on your hand.

Jenny - Count down…
Thank you all for your kind thoughts, prayers and wishes.
No, Julie, I don’t crochet, except when I have to to finish a knitting project. I’m SO GLAD you’re excited about working on the shawl! I’m VERY GRATEFUL to ALL of you!
I actually started knitting some more over the weekend. I need to be better about just doing one or two rows even if I’m too tired to do a lot! Anyway, I polished off my sock. It was VERY late last night when I finished the last toe decrease. I should have been a responsible adult and gone to bed but I just had to finish. And what was the result? I messed up my toe grafting big time. When I looked at it today it had a big hole in the middle of the toe! I’m not sure, but I think my main problem was I kept crossing the yarn over and under the needles when I shouldn’t have been. That will teach me to knit when I’m half asleep!
Anyway, I gritted my teeth and slowly did the whole business backward. Then I did it again. I was much more pleased with the results, though I still need more practice with this particular technique.
Here’s the finished result. I’m very pleased! The fit is OK–a little tight at the top, but not overly so I don’t think.
This week promises to (maybe) be a slow one. I’m hoping I can get a nice start on the second sock.
Steve, that is one nice sock! LOVE the cables!!:cheering:
Great sock Steve. It looks really nice. You are a much more brave knitter than I. I have not had the nerve to branch out into anything other than plain socks so far. I am looking for the perfect sock to break that trend though.
I love your sock Steve , good job.
Steve - those socks do you good.
:sun: Good Morning Socksters!!
Julie~:yay: YAY for the progress on the 2nd sock!!
Karina~Yeah, you just send them an e-mail and then you should hear back from them…right now they are trying to move things to google so you might not hear from them till then…and just get the google invite from Sockamania…on Ravelry you do have to take photos of your stash lol that is why mine is empty …I think there is a group though that you can join and share stash pictures…
Jackie~:happydance: YAY for working on your sock!! I’m always buzzing into something lol…
Steve~:woot: It looks great!! I have been wondering how your sock progress was going!! :happydance:
Nothing much here but rain… and more rain…I’m hoping it’s pretty this weekend for mom and dad. I worked on Gina’s shawl yesterday and I’m really liking this pattern :happydance:
I hope you all have a great day of knitting!! :sun:
Steve, that is an awesome sock!! Great job!
WOO HOO, I finally got my ravelry invite! I have entered a couple of projects, but that’s it so far. I don’t have a flikr account, so I guess I better set that up so I can add photos to my projects. I haven’t even explored the other areas yet.
No knitting yesterday. We took the kids to a pub for fish & chips and great live music last night, and were totally exhausted by the time we got home and got them into bed. Had a blast, though!
Chris, I forgot to say- last night I saw guys in kilts all over the place, and I kept wondering if any of them were real men and knit their own kilt hose!
Awesome sock Steve!
Chris how’s the kilt hose commin? What’d you do last night? Are you Irish or Scottish or both? I’m mostly Irish & German, but I do have some English & Scottish in me too.
Dustina Glad to hear you’re just getting rain, what a nice break-we had snow yesterday! just fluries though. Glad to hear you like to work on the shawl, I can’t wait!
Abbily: how much fun, we stayed home and listend to our Celtic music and ate a potato dish I fixed…tonight we’re going to Grandma’s to ‘celebrate’ ('cause my Brother had to work last night) so we’ll have corned beef & cabbage & parcly creamed red potatos tonight-yummy!
OK I’m off to work on my sock now and then shower, well actually Caitlin’s cryin-time for mornin nap maybe. Talk to you all throughout the day.
Dotty: are you working on any socks??? Or are you sewing lots of stuff? I’d like to try one of those ‘rag’ quilts, have you ever done one?
Mmmm, Julie, I’ll be over for dinner tonight, what time should I be there?
