Any Sock KAL 2

:blooby:Good Morning Socksters!

Christine~I agree with Chris, great picture and so glad you got to see him

Rachel~can’t wait to see the hat and hope you have a wonderful birthday :yay:

Gina~I hope the builders don’t give you guys too much trouble and just fix it for ya …:woot:on picking a location!

Courtney~Hope you are doing good :happydance:

Hi everyone hope you all are doing good miss hearing from you all!

I was suppose to be going to Amish country today but started feeling icky last night and more so today. I think it’s my crazy sinuses again :wall:. I have a lot to do this week so hopefully the weather changes quickly so I can get rid of this crazy headache.

I finished up my wrapping yesterday and today hoping to work on the sample knit…

Hope you guys have a great day of knitting :blooby:

So I went for my x-ray and they twisted me and turned me and took pictures of my lower back and my knee (the two sorest spots on me) and will give the doctor a written report within a week. They said I could scream if it got too sore, but I “put on my big girl panties” did not scream a bit, even though it sure did hurt. If he wants to he can access the x-ray from his office computer. Either way I will find out soon why it hurts so much.

Gina: Sorry about the mould, that is hard to live with. I hope they fix it soon.

Chris: I’m so glad your eyes are fine my friend, lol!

Dustina: I am jealous of your test knits. Perhaps one day soon I can do a little knitting. Nothing yet so far.

Sue: How are you doing?

Ann: Hugs to you Hon, I have seen you in quite a while.

final is tonight & prayers would be greatly appreciated!

Gina & Dustina

Christine I think you look fine, just need to re-color your hair & you look like you always did, really. I can see the the family resemblance, what a cutie.

Well I have to take Jacob to school here in about 15 min and then probably hit the grocery store to pick up snack for his class, it’s his snack day on Thurs. Hopefully katie will take another good nap today so I can study a bit more. I’m so tired of looking at this stuff. I’m ready to be done and enjoy some knitting.

My birthday is on Saturday, I’m not expecting yarn, I am getting a new handbag though and going out for a meal. There is also a chance of snow. It better not snow too much, my boyfriend has never driven in snow before.

Looks like I have the whole of next week off (touch wood) which will be nice. Work today was horrible but apparently it was the last bad day before Christmas so tomorrow will hopefully be better.

Julie, good luck!

All I want for Christmas is a new job! :waah:

Julie~I hope Katie took a good nap for ya…I’m sure you did good :happydance:

Christine~Continued prayers for you and hope soon you can knit

Rachel~That sounds like a nice evening! :happydance:

Hi everyone miss you all…anyone heard from Lieke?

I’m feeling a little more human today the headache is just barely there…so I can stand light and sound a tad better today. Yesterday was rough.

Roo lost her other tooth this morning so now her two bottom teeth are missing…so she is singing all I want for Christmas is my two front teeth :teehee:

Tonight we have dance class but its their Christmas party…and then we have Isaiah’s tutoring and that party.

Hope you guys have a great day of knitting…

Well I believe I did pretty good on the final. 90 questions total, and I guessed on about 8 of them. All I needed to pass the class with a C was a 60% on the final and I am confident I got a better grade than that. I’ll let y’all know when grades post, sometime next week.

Hi socksters,

We’re still waiting to hear from the builder. Yesterday when we called they said they were trying to find out who did the work in the bathroom. Today, they said they’re trying to decide IF they’re going to do anything and waiting to hear from the higher ups. I want to move. Out. To another house.

Dustina, hope your sinuses start cooperating. I can relate. This house stuffs me up any time I go near that bathroom. Roo’s smile made me smile! Love to see toothless kids!

Christine, any word about those x-rays yet? Personally, I like the natural hair color.

Rache, YAY for your birthday! Did you pick out the handbag?

Chris, hope the job is less stressful. Ugh. At least it’s a paycheck!

Julie, YAY on doing well on the exam! You know I was praying for you!

Y’all, please pray that the builder starts fixing our bathroom tomorrow and doesn’t argue with us or delay. I’m seriously discouraged about it all.

Gina is there some kind of ‘loop hole’ where you can get out of the house and the mortgage contract and wash your hands of it all? You haven’t been in the house for very long anyway. I’m praying for you and thank you for praying for me last night, I could feel the prayers.

Hi everyone! Goodness, I haven’t posted in forever! I have been really busy lately, and have been spending a huge amount of time with my best friend Karen. I hope you are all doing well!

Christine, sorry to hear about your knee! I hope you get some relief soon. How wonderful to get to meet your grandson!

Gina, holy cats! You are definitely in my prayers! I sincerely hope that something good happens for you soon, my dear!

Dustina, yes, my kids are thrilled about Christmas break! They’re out at noon on Friday, and on Sunday through Tuesday Karen and I are taking them all (her daughter, too) on a road trip! I’m not sure where all we’re going, but we’re going to try to hit Santa’s Wonderland in Bryan, where we can take the girls on a hay ride through a light display with more than 2.5 million lights! We’ve never been, but it sounds pretty amazing.

Sorry I don’t have time for more personals, I’ve got to get going soon. I have to pick up my CSA veggies, then pick up Karen and head to church. I miss you all!

Julie~:woohoo:are you free from studying till after the holidays? :happydance:

Gina~Can you contact the Realtor and see if something could be done… or inspection people and see why they didn’t catch all this before…:hug:continued prayers! My sinuses are better than at our old house I’m thankful for that…now they just mess up with major weather changes:teehee:

Carey~ohh that sounds like fun! Our kids have to go till the 22nd…used to be they would have gotten out on Friday…I wish they still did I think 2 days next week is kinda crazy 'cause the kids will be so hyped up and one day is a party…:teehee:

Prayers please for my dh’s grandmother we got word today that its not looking good and the drs not sure she will make it to Christmas. It looks like we may be heading down tomorrow night or Friday morning so JD can hopefully see her and say his goodbye. I’ll know more tomorrow after JD’s dad calls…he is on his way back from an out of state job site tonight…Roo is in a little program at school tomorrow and is so excited 'cause she has a small speaking part so we don’t want to leave before she can do that…

So if I disappear ya’ll know why…I’m going to go talk to the school tomorrow and drop off all my supplies for the parties just in case something happens.

Hope you guys have a great evening of knitting

:muah: :muah: :muah: Good Morning, Socksters! Thought I’d drop in and wish you all the very Merriest of Christmas and a hopefully Happy New Year!!!

Hi y’all!
Dustina, she’s in our prayers and yes I’m free of studying until Jan. 11th! I knit all but the thumb top on Jacob’s second mitten last night, in about an hour and a half, boy did that feel good to be able to knit guilt free

During the day today I need to get crackin on Brian’s socks!

Dustina- you, JD and his grandma are in my prayers!

Thanks everyone…everything is kinda a waiting game now we got word this morning the DR didn’t think she would make it through the day (he said noon but how does he know the time?) so we are just sitting still…JD has 2 days left to take (after the week he is taking off between Christmas and New Year) so he isn’t sure rather to use tomorrow and we go home…or hold on to it…in case he would need it next week…

The way things have been going lately they need to add an “Prayers” button at the bottom of posts.

As always Dustina you and your family are in my prayers.

Dustina, my thoughts are with you and your family

Gina, I don’t think anyone in my family is brave enough to pick a handbag for me without my approval! I met Mom after work one Saturday and went looking for one. I actually found two, one is a nice smart black one for interviews and smart occasions, the other is an aqua shoulder bag to replace the bag that I currently use which is falling apart. I was gonna buy the aqua one myself but Mom said I could have both because she was going to spend that amount anyway.

Work was busy today but not as bad as it has been. Surprisingly it was a worse day than Tuesday but I got through it faster. I like being able to start on time, Tuesday I spent half an hour running around fetching things before I could actually start. Today I didn’t need to fetch anything that wasn’t already on the floor, much easier getting things out of the service cupboard than having to go to the store room or linen cupboard.

Its snowing!!! I don’t know whether to be happy about this or not, on the bright side it may deter people from coming to the hotel so I might get my Sunday back but on the other hand its cold and I will have to go out in it. Maybe school will be off tomorrow for a snow day and then I could stay at home, its the last day of term anyway (doing work placement on Fridays as part of my college course, I’m working with a class of 7/8 year-olds).

No knitting to speak of at the moment, just lots of shopping, wrapping and writing cards.

^^^^^ see up there for what I said Monday night… OK so this is going just way too far now! I want to curl up in a small ball and just cover up and not come out until it’s all fixed and I am back to normal. Here’s what happened…

I told you all above that it really hurt to have the x-ray done. The next day I could not move or breath. Wanna know why? I asked the technician not to log roll me to do the x-rays but she insisted… and she re-broke the one rib. Last time I had a broken rib I also had morphine, and this time I don’t so I am in agony. I am “in bed” for a week, so I decided I’d better let you all know where I am hiding. I can come out next Wednesday. I give up…

We look forward to you coming out on Wednesday to play, be a good girl and rest up. Next time take a cane with you to the Dr.s. One with a very big brass head. If they want to turn you apply the nead of the cane to the head to the technician!

Christine~I’m sorry you are having a rough go…your in my prayers

Thank you all for the prayers we just got word that she has passed…will be heading to WV soon
