I actually just finished the beret, although it is blocking right next to me.
Jess, you sound swamped! Do you have ANY time to knit?
Lieke, your day sounds lovely! Don’t knit too much or you’ll have a sore wrist again!
Dustina, i don’t envy your moving! Just your land! Weird story about the previous events there! Be sure to pray that God will permanently bind up any evil still lurking there. He will!!
Rosalie, cute beret!
Julie, you can learn on something for the kids. Better leave the dress to someone with experience for now. I bought a pretty brown heather and a burgundy color. It will look pretty in my house.
Sue, glad your back and shoulder are on the mend!
Christine, hope your weekend went as well as could be expected.
GTG. My tutoring student is about to pull up.
I called to make an appointment with one of the supervisors. The other is a friend of my boss, so I’ll wait with her. Unfortunately, I had to leave a voice mail and have not heard back. It’s past quittin’ time, so I don’t know what will happen now. She may have even called my boss…
hahaha.
No.
Well, some. After 10 pm.
Once I get the room finished, though, I’ll have time to do more.
Though my dad has this theory that they’re going to let me re-carpet my room once I’ve moved everything back in. :??  :eyebrow2:
But I suppose once I’ve sorted and boxed we’ll have a lot less to move.
morning,
for being absent and the miss-out. We are doing fine, so far, no case of the H1N1 virus here. The government is doing a very close monitor on this. How’s everyone’s health ? Hope all is doing well.
Jayne’s mid year exam paper ended yesterday, looking forwad to the school holiday. Our holiday plan to Hong Kong has to be cancel due to the H1N1 sega.
Dustina - that’s a “wow” history of the house :oo:

Gina~I agree with Julie I would have everthing in writing with dates if you can remember to meet her with…will be thinking of you
Sue~Hopefully you can knit soon, I’m sure your body will tell you when
Emily~ shouldn’t you remove the carpet before you load everything back into your room?
Jackie~We are all doing good here…hand sanitizer is hard to come by though…I keep a stock pile 'cause I use it all the time (when I can’t wash my hands) and keep wetones on me…

Hi everyone!
Nothing much happening here but soccer practice and then knit night it’s been called off the past couple of times, not enough people can make it.
I got the grass cut yesterday…today working on laundry and hopefuly my shorty wrap.
Roo is dancing in the kitchen right now to Garth : )
Thanks for the comments on the house…I think we will wait and make sure everything else goes as smoothly and then have a talk with the kids about the rumors and the truth…
I hope you all have a wonderful day of knitting :sun:
Just about to leave. I’ll take lots of pics to show you all!! Keep on sockin’!
been busy, finally updated the blog, talk toyou all later!
But, that would… make sense! :noway:
I think my parents are on a kick of “lets make things as complicated as possible”. :wall:
Also, dad doesn’t actually want me to get new carpet, so he’s telling me that I have to move everything back into my room before I can get it, so that it is then too much work to get things back out so that I can change carpet. I’m onto him, though. I plan to get it in writing that he said we could move things back out to put in new carpet.
I stopped in at the LYS today after lunch because my favorite little “tea shop” is connected to it. But then I had to leave before I buy anything. lol.
Jess, Glad you’re on to your dad!:roflhard:
Jackie, good to hear you’re well. The H1N1 virus is here in the area, but no one I know is sick.
Dustina, you asked all the questions of everyone I was going to ask. Don’t give the kids more info than they can handle. They’re pretty young!
Well, I put my big girl panties on (thinking of you, Julie) and went to the admin building to talk to the supervisors. i got an appointment with the director of Special Ed tomorrow at 10:30–PRAY FOR ME! and talked to the other one today. It did NOT go well. She wouldn’t listen to everything I wanted to say and just wanted the highlights and I must say, I didn’t do the best job summarizing. She accused me of not spending the time I was assigned to with each student and repeatedly leaving a student’s house in the late afternoon to go pick up stuff. I told her that she must have the wrong teacher because I see the same student every afternoon and have for two years and I go there, spend my time teaching her and leave. I asked for a name and she said she wouldn’t give it to me. I’m SO frustrated. I told her my schedule was not doable and not fair and she did agree to see if she could get me some time for lunch. Which means she’ll talk to my boss which will probably get me in even more trouble. I’m ready to just walk away.
But then what?
So PLEASE pray for me tomorrow morning, 10:30 central time. I really believe in the power of prayer, and I value yours! I don’t know what outcome I want. I just know it can’t go on as is.
Gina: Good thoughts being sent to you for tomorrow morning. Things cannot go on as they are with you so miserable and the boss so obviously wanting to get at you. I hope for a positive outcome for you. Will keep my fingers crossed.
Already sent up that prayer for you, gina…obviously God is ready to make some kind of change in your life, and that’s usually not easy…boy am I learning that. But he has a plan to prosper you, and never harm you…keep the Faith !

And you guys come on over and have a look at my newest little grand-rugrat on my blog ! Happy day today !

Love you all…dotty…
I got a call that my meeting time has to be changed. I don’t know when it will be… Just pray all day, okay? After yesterday’s meeting, I keep thinking about what I SHOULD have said, how what she said was SO wrong, but I didn’t respond. I was just floored! Please pray that I have the ears to hear what I need to hear and the words to respond appropriately and that what needs to be said is said and what needs to change will change.
Gina: Continued good and positive thoughts being sent to you.
Dotty: Congrats on the new grandbaby. What a big boy. I just took a quick look at your blog. Love the cherry baby quilt and your furry babies are so cute playing together.
Good Morning Sockster!
Gina~Your in my prayers, God will give you the words you need
Dotty~:woot:Congrats on the new grandbaby! When will you get to see them all?
Emily~ I would add to the paper that he gets to move everything back out…
Hi everyone!!
I went to knit night last night we had a good time and I got more done on my wrap…hopefully today I can get closer to finishing it up.
I hope you all have a great day of knitting :sun:
Gina you’re in our
whaterver His will be done. Another door will open for you and a month or so from now you wont even remember this as being super significant. You will though remember how crapy it was and how much stronger a person it made you. I’ll keep you in my prayers all day and the rest of the week until this is resolved. promise.
Dotty what a beautiful BIG baby boy. Your poor daughter! I hope you continue to see them online and in person as soon as possible. HOw’s Mike doing?
I have 1/2 the hemlock ring bound off! :woot: man is that a loooooooong bind off. I was up till 11 last night working on it and decided I should go to bed because if I didn’t the kids would be up at 6.
Today’s my sis’ 21st birthday, so we’ll go have a family dinner tonight, one we’ll treasure lots since she’s moving away. The kids picked out a princess Auora card to give her with a crown inside to punch out and wear; so much fun. And she’s great with them that I expect her to punch it out and wear it; gotta remember the camera!
Yesterday I got all 300+ pictures on a DVD copied for those folks that I shot the bday party for, and desinged a cd label for them and printed one in color and the color ink is about gone, so it printed green/yellow-made me mad. Ok fine I’ll print it in greyscale, well darned thing did the same thing, printed about 1/2 the photo and then went green/yellow. :hair: so today we’re going to Target to get some more ink, and maybe a giftie for my sis if I can find something; and maybe a bigger litter box for Lucky, I already have the large or jumbo; but he seemes cramped.
Gina~Good thoughts coming your way today! I hope the meeting goes well for you. If your boss and these supervisors are friends, your boss may get spiteful because you went over her head. Hang tough girl! Document EVERYTHING!! Take in everything they are saying and stand up for yourself. Try not to let emotions get into play here (easier said than done, I know). Listen to what they are saying and then explain your side. Stick to the facts without attacking your boss or getting overly defensive.
Stand tall and be confident in yourself and in the work you do!! If it goes badly for you, then this place is not for you. You are meant to do good someplace else. You don’t need to be getting yourself sick over it. All of us will be with you at your meeting today!! We are behind you!
Gina,
Exactly! well said Lisa!
Thanks everyone for the support and prayers. It’s been a long week and it’s not over quite yet.
The funeral was very nice and I held up really well until the end. DH’s sister went up and rubbed the urn, turned to leave, turned back and grabbed the urn and went to walk down the aisle with it. Her father gently went and told her it was his job to carry his wife, took the urn from her, wrapped his arms around it, bowed his head and carried her out of the church with the tears running down his face. That broke me.
Tomorrow we leave here at 5 a.m. and drive to Pembroke, which is six hours from here, for the burial and commital service. We then have to drive six hours back home again. It is going to be a long day.
In between all of this we had to go and open the trailer. We left on Sunday and got there at 7:30 at night. Thankfully it was still light enough to do all we had to do. Boots loved it up there. We had an appointment with a man who is fixing the floor in the bedroom for us, so we HAD to go Sunday. We had to wait until the woman upstairs had finished her garage sale because we could not get out our front door let alone pack the car. She finally shut it down around 3 p.m. The opening went well except that our roof leaked in the bedroom, so today before we left the repair company came to fix that for us. Heaven only knows how much that will cost us. It has to be done though.
On the knitting front, I got sock #1 finished for my sister and sock #2 started so I would have something to work on on the drive to Pembroke tomorrow. I will post a picture of the sock later on this week.
Friday I have to go to court about a car accident I witnessed and Saturday is my DGD’s whole hand (5th) birthday party. Her actual birthday is tomorrow.
Anyways, again thanks for the prayers and support during this difficult time. DH is going to phone his sister tonight and ask for the shawl. He is going to have her bring it with her tomorrow. I don’t know what he will say to her, but that is between he and his sister. I hope she will let me have it back. If I wrap myself in it I will be closer to my MIL…
Hugs to you all!
Here are the pictures of the sock… the picture was taken at the trailer, while I was standing up, with my foot on the end of the bed. It’s not the best picture but it will give you an idea of what the sock looks like now that it is finally finished.
Dotty, I just got off your blog and had to wipe tears from my eyes. I LOVE your rock and your verse to go with it. SO TRUE!!! And your grandbaby is beautiful!
Sue, Dustina, Julie, Dotty, Lisa, and the rest, thanks for your prayers and advice.
I talked to the director of SPED services today and she was wonderful. She listened and asked questions, said that unfortunately, anything she did wouldn’t change the atmosphere. In the end, said, “You know what? If I were you, I’d bag this job. You have wonderful skills and won’t have any trouble finding something that will pay better and not give you these hassles.” She even said she’d write a recommendation for me. So I quit! I left a message for my boss saying I have jury duty next week and extra tutoring for finals in the next two weeks, so leave me off the schedule. Both true, and I didn’t want to make a bad situation worse by re-hashing crap. DH fully supports this decision and I’m HAPPY!
Julie, YAY on the shawl! That’s a lot of BO! (OKAY, not THAT kind of BO. Binding off BO!):roflhard:
Christine, I’m glad you’re holding up okay. That’s an awfully long drive in one day! Glad you have your knitting. The sock looks wonderful, btw!
I have to say again how much I appreciate all of you on here! You are my friends and I value you ALL so much! I miss you when you don’t post and I love to hear what’s going on in your day. Thanks for being here for me and taking the time to share who you are and how much you care!
