Any beginning knitters in Dallas?

Hi,

Just curious if there are any beginning knitters in the Dallas area that might meet for coffee and knitting (or something along those lines.) I’m attempting to teach myself to knit…I should just take a class but I guess I like the punishment of trying to teach myself. :doh:

:cheering: :cheering: :cheering: Yeah, a Dallas knitter!!! I’ve been looking for a good knitting group, but havn’t found one yet. I live in the Lewisville area near Vista Ridge Mall. Where are you? As there is usually a Starbucks around every corner I’m sure we could meet in the middle and knit! I’ve been knitting almost a year. I’m no pro, but we could learn from each other! I’m in Dallas and have been knitting for about a month. I’ve joined the yahoo email list for the Dallas Stitch n Bitch, but I haven’t made it to a meeting yet. I’d be interested in a meetup. I live in Dallas, off Mockingbird.

Dovey, have you been to the yarn shop there in Keller? I don’t live in the Dallas area, but I do have relatives living in Keller, and saw on the yarn shop map that there is a yarn store there. I was wondering if it’s a good one?

Actually I did not even know that a yarn shop existed in Keller!!!

Well, phooey. Now I’m really embarrassed. :oops: I’m quite certain I did read somewhere online once that Keller had a yarn shop, but I just did a search, and looked at the map muse of yarn shops throughout the US, and couldn’t find one listed for there.

Sorry to get your hopes up for nothing. :shrug:

I live in colleyville and I am only 14 so I can’t drive but it would be awesome to see if I could come sometime. Tell me how the first meeting goes and maybe I can come sometime! :cheering:

Definitely! That was fun! Do you realize we were there four and a half hours and I never got a drink!? :??

I have found that when I’m knitting I don’t tend to set the needles down and get something to drink (or even drink it if I have it) either, but I was pounding down the coffee fraps on Sunday!

I’m definitely in for another meetup. :muah:

And I finished my socks last night!!

I’m in the Pasadena/Deer Park area. Woodlands is not too far; an hour drive in Houston is not too bad.

Unfortunately, my dad is terminal. They started in-home hospice care yesterday. :pout:

Maybe we can think about getting together when things calm down a little.
