Has any one knitted these yoga socks Patons kroy socks if so I need help on it
We need pattern name a link please as always. Just too many patterns done differently to know how to help.
Wait…have you asked about this question before? Please keep all your questions for one topic in one thread. It’s too confusing with no one knowing who’s answered what in addition to you not being able to find the answers.
Patons kroy yoga socks it can be found on patons web site or ravelry web site yoga sock # 153
Could you provide a link, please.
Thanks for the link. What do you need help with? They look pretty generic so whether anyone has done this particular pattern shouldn’t really matter.
This is what I need help on in brackets [Rep last 8 rnds for texture pat until work from beg measures approx 4 ins [10 cm], ending on a 4th or 8th rnd of pat.] and I think I am all most there.
Next i will need help on with the words Next rnd.
Next rnd: Knit, inc 8 sts evenly around. 72 sts. Divide into 24 sts on each
of 3 needles.
If any one can help will be every happy
When you work round 4 or 8 check the length. Stop at whichever one is close to the 4 ins (10 cm).
Next round, divide 72/8 = 9 so you want to increase every 9 sts. Unless otherwise specified, use whatever increase you wish. You can kfb in the 9th st or do an increase after it. As for dividing evenly on 3 needles, you can do 27 on each of 2 needles and 26 on the third or whatever distribution works best for you.
Rounds 1-8 give the directions for the texture pattern. Keep repeating them until you have about 4 inches but be sure to end with either round 4 or round 8.
On the next round you need to increase by 8 sts. If you increase every 8 sts that’ll work. You can either work 8sts and then do an increase by picking up the bar between sts or you can work 7sts and do a knit front and back on the 8th stitch. Increasing evenly just means to distribute the increases on the round so that they’re not all bunched up in one place.
Ok because I have 20 on the first needle and 20 on the second needle and 24 on the third needle so how do I inc evenly 8 sts
What do you need to know? What’s not clear? Salmonmac and I gave you pretty much the same explanation. Her numbers are different from mine and I’d trust her math over mine so go with hers.
Your increases won’t work out evenly on each needle. If you (k8 then inc.) twice, you’ll have 2 stitches left on the first needle, k those 2, then 6 more on the 2nd needle and work an inc. do this all the way around on your increase round.
You have 20 + 20 + 24 = 64 stitches. To increase evenly, add the new stitch every 8 stitches.
64 + 8 = 72 that you’ll have after the increases.
Yes, it may help to think of this as 64sts total not as groups of sts on each needle. You’re making a circle after all. Once you’ve done the increase, the next directions tell you to redistibute the sts on the 3 needles so that each needle has 24 sts.
Working on the shape of a open heel It says cast off 36 sts loosely in ribbing . Rib to the end of the rnd. then it says cast on 36 sts loosely. Rejoin in rnd . Work 5 rnd in ribbing please help
This is going to make the opening for the heel. It’s like a simple buttonhole if you’ve ever made those. Start at the beginning of the round and cast off 36sts, just the usual cast off where you k1, p1, lift the first stitch over the second and off the right needle, then k1, lift the second st over the first and so on. When 36sts have been lifted over and off the right needle, continue in rib to the end of round. Now you’re at the gap where sts were cast off in the previous round. Take the righthand needle in your left hand and knit cast on 36sts. You can see how to knit cast on on the Free Videos tab at the top of the page under Cast ons. Once the sts are cast on, take the needle back into your right hand and continue the round.
Need help on this I just casted off 36 sts now I have to Cast on 36 sts loosely. Rejoin in rnd.
Post #16. As she said, you can check the free videos if you need to.
How do I rejoin tell me that
Once you have the new sts cast on, take the needle with the new sts and the working yarn hanging off the end in your right hand and knit the next stitch on the left hand needle and continue to knit the stitches around as you were doing before the heel shaping. Don’t worry if the join seems a little weak. It’ll firm up as you knit the succeeding rounds.
You’re doing well so far. Almost there!
