Yfwd, yrn, yon

Hi all

I’m new here and really hope you can help. I’m knitting a cotton sweater and on row 5 have come across the following:

k2, k2tog, yfwd, k1 yfwd, s1, k1, psso, k1, k2tog, yfwd, yrn, yon

From what I’ve seen online, yrn and yon are pretty much the same thing - should I be doing this twice or do you think they’ve just printed the two abbreviations in case some people know what one means and others, the other?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers
Tracy

I think your explanation is right. They all are pretty much the same thing, and you can’t just ‘do’ them at the end of a row.

Thanks Ingrid - so you’re basically saying that I should choose one or the other but not work both.

Cheers
Tracy

I would just work the yarn fwrd. Just bring the yarn forward between the needles and knit the next stitch. You’ll get your yarn over and it will look fine.
