Yarn substitution problem

I saw ths gorgeous :heart: pattern on Berroco.com but it’s only sold in yarn stored and the nearest one is an hour away. Got any ideas for substituting the yarns? Log onto the Berroco and click on the pink notebook picture on the right and it will go to the brand new patterns list, then click on the 14th picture on the left(you may have to scrool down)

You can get the yarn at Webs, as well as lots of other on line stores. Did you mean you wanted to find something similar locally?

yes I did, or maybe I can ask my dad, because he’s the one who buys stuff online

Lion Brand has a suede looking yarn, too. The Berroco is $10!!!

The Lion Brand is about half that. You might be able to find that locally.

I think I’ve seen in other threads that the Berroco suede is about a worsted weight. The LB suede is more of a super bulky or thicker yarn. I’m not sure how well the two would interchange, but I’ve only seen the LB in person, not the Berroco.
