Yarn advice needed

I want to make a pumpkin hat for our niece and for ds. It can be pretty warm here through Nov/Dec. What yarn do you recommend? I cannot stand the feel of 100% acrylic so that is my only no-no :fingerwag: . I will need the yarn pretty quick so it would be great if I can buy it at Michaels. I was thinking about Lion Woolease but I think that might be too warm.

Patons Decor is nice - it’s 75% acrylic, 25% wool. It’s soft, I find it warm, but not too warm, it is readily available and machine washable. Come in lots of colours too. I think it is the same fiber content as Wool-Ease, as well as Plymouth Encore.

My recomendation is Patons Grace. Its a 100% cotton, and its pretty soft.

In trying to help the problem wasn’t so much that I had trouble finding non acrylic yarn, it was finding the color to do a pumpkin hat! Grace comes in a pretty orange shade called Terracotta and it is carried in Michaels stores. You can check on the link to find the Michaels near you that might carry it.

Hmmm, yeah, Decor doesn’t come in an orange colour at all. Sorry!

Thanks ladies. I love the feel of Grace and I have been wanting to use it.
