I’ve never knit baby booties before, but I thought I’d try my hand at it, and now I have a question about working the foot. I made the instep and broke the yarn (bind off, right?) as instructed.
The instructions now say: Pick up and knit 11 stitches along the side of the instep with RS facing. K13 from left hand needle. Pick up and knit 11 stitches along other side of instep. Knit across remaining 16 sts. (to end with 67 stitches)
My questions are: 1) what side of the instep do I first pick up the stitches? 2) Am I supposed to be using DPN’s or three needles? I can’t quite seem to visualize how this is supposed to work and it’s brought me to a stand still.
Thanks in advance for any insight.
