Wool scarf

i have a few questions

  1. 100% wool scarves are usually heavy? [tat what i think now…]

so would the usage be only during autumn/winter?
and how would it usually be worn? wrap around the neck?

  1. i have a really tall friend [192cm]

i want to know for a standard one row knit and one purl whats the estimatd length i should be looking at for this wool scarf [ i have done like 120cm]

width wise its around 35 stitches [around 20cm, but it does curl and i am left with around 10cm]

  1. i am planning to knit one or myself [150cm]

so in this case what would be a good length

thats all for now, see if i can get pictures up by tomorrow XD

Thanks alot:muah:

You can knit them on larger needles and with the looser gauge, not so heavy.

To keep a stockinette (knit 1 row, purl 1 row) item from curling up on itself, you would knit about 5 sts at the beg and end of the purl row to form a border around it. Knitting the first 5 rows and 5 at the BO end will keep those ends from flipping up too.

Usually a scarf is about the same length as the wearer’s height, but guys usually like them a little shorter.

ah sadly i am already almost done with scarf i’ll just keep in mind for the next time XD

would wool scarves be used as long scarves or are they usually drap around type?

Either.
