This bracelet is for a swap I’m participating in on another forum. I really wanted to get feedback on this but I didn’t want to risk ruining the surprise for my swap partner; I’m 99.9% sure she doesn’t come here, so I guess this is as safe as it gets.
It’s crocheted with 28g gold-fill wire with a big assortment of beads: Swarovski crystals, jade, green aventurine, iolite, howlite, amethyst, garnet, carnelian, mother of pearl, rhodonite, blue quartz and yellow jasper.
Ronda – I do sell my jewelry sometimes. I did more custom work than I sold pre-made ones because I like to try to make something just so for them.
Callmesusan – I randomly pre-strung the green beads, and sc’ed them on pretty randomly too; I wanted them to be more or less evenly distributed, but not perfectly spaced. The flowers I made seperately then wired them on after the main body of the bracelet was done.
Isnt it funny how after youve worked with a certain craft for so long that your not sure if something “looks right”. heh I know with certain things I design I know its cool to me, but not sure if it is still pleasing to an outsider.
It beautiful!! I’ve been wondering if crocheting beading wire would be difficult–but you make it SOUND easy!! I love the flowers --now I’m going to check your blog!! COngratulations–your swap pal should be thrilled!
Thanks so much of all the lovely comments, everyone. I’m so glad you like it.
Not dumb at all! It took me a while to notice the little “WWW” buttons – the one on my posts links to my blog, or you can just go to http://knit-errant.blogspot.com
