WIP - Yet More Socks

Are you surprised, lol! I bound off the blue pair on Saturday and immediately cast on for these ones, Three Leaf Clover Rib using Little Knits own brand of sock wool called Sockulent. It’s 100% Merino from Italy and they’ve just introduced it, currently $11.99 a 100g skein, regular will be $22.99. So far it feels really beautiful, like knitting with silk, but I don’t know how it will hold up in the wear areas.

Project page.

Oh, so pretty! I wondered about how it would wear too. I want to get some of it but hadn’t because I wondered about the no nylon wearing well. I just had an idea, however. I could knit the heels and toes with yarn that does have nylon for the wear factor and use that lovely 100% merino for the rest of the sock. What’cha think? It’s possible to add a strand of something else to the wear areas. I’ve never tried it.

Gorgeous, gorgeous, you guessed it, gorgeous.

I’ve heard of reinforcing nylon that you can buy. You knit it along with the wool at the heels and toes. I know people on Ravelry use it but I’ve never had the need before now. I might look in to it, I’d hate to ruin nice socks.

Love it, love it, love it!

Such a beautiful lacy rib stitch, and thanks for the review of Sockulent. I wanted to get some, but I’m on a much needed yarn diet…

The color you chose is gorgeous too!

What a gorgeous pattern!. Those are going to be elegant.

Good lookin’ start. I’ll be starting off a few pairs for my Aunt in N. Idaho, she’s been pestering me about it for the past couple of years, so I’ll be sending 3 pair of Op Art socks, to her for her birthday, and probably a pair of Clogs as well. Can’t wait to see the FO.

I greatly admire your work! You’re really a sock Diva!
