I have been stuck for at least a month with neck spasms that I am mostly over now, and am getting back into knitting, but now my projects seem so …old and boring. Even though I know I will love them, the they seem stale or something. Should I continue or just go on to new things?

Arthritis in your neck: ouch! I am sure you are well familiar with my problem then; if I go too long knitting, my neck begins to stiffen up and become sore. It is dissapating, although not as quickly as I would like! Do you have to monitor how much knitting you do at once?
I think working on something else would be a good idea. Already just looking at the pictures of my objects make them seem more interesting rather than the objects themselves. Weird, that.
Go ahead and knit something else if the urge takes you.
But don’t give up on the Starsky all together - I made mine in an almost identical colour to yours and I just love it. It’s really snuggly and very warm - I’m sure if you come back to it and finish it by winter time you’ll be very glad you did.
Before cold weather comes again, please finish your Starsky. I wore the heck out of mine this past winter. Living in Louisiana, I could use it for almost any weather. I was surprised at how the alpaca was warm but never made me feel sweaty or hot. I got lots of compliments and no one believed I had actually knit it. So finish it and I’ll bet it will be one of your favorite FOs. Just be sure not to make the sleeves too long like I did. I had to rip back and re-rib them after the whole thing was put together.
you guys made me feel all warm and fuzzy thank you!
im knitting a scarf for my husband out of some panache i had laying around, and im back in the swing. i will finish starsky and diagonale. probably diagonale first bc i can use it this summer. im glad to hear so many people get use out of starsky. it certainly looks warm and cozy; im glad it actually is.
