I can’t believe this is my first HP scarf … I’m a huge HP fan! I’m knitting this for my DS. It’s also my first time knitting in the round - I’m using 16" US8 circ needles, and Lion Wool-ease in Cranberry and Gold.
I also completed scarf for a local photo shoot … I used 7 skeins of Lion Boucle in Hard Candies and 3 skeins of Patons Brilliant in Gold for the scarf - the photographer requested it to be 12’ long! It was crazy knitting it in time for the photo shoot, but it came out so pretty.
Thanks Freyja! He called me on a Monday afternoon, wanting it for Saturday morning. I was up 'til midnight for 4 nights getting it done (I work fulltime outside the home). But it was so exciting to watch the photo shoot. I kept thinking “that’s my scarf!!”
my Brothers best friend’s Girlfriend has been a model a few times for knit Sweaters
even on the cover of one magazine
slightly asian looking woman with glasses, nice Honest open Smile
and I recently made a 15’ (yes foot) scarf out of Lambs Pride
when I mailed it, it was just shy of 3#
it was 700 stitches long, and 6 skeins
my friend wears it doubled when alone, and shares loops of it with his kids when they are together
Yay! Harry Potter nerds UNITE!!! :teehee:
Love the two scarves. You must have a lot of stamina to do two thick, LONG scarves in a row. I give thee props
Thank you so much! Thankfully my children are too young to be embarrassed that mom likes the same things they do. :teehee: My good friend’s daughter is so embarrassed that we both have MySpace accounts, my DS thinks it’s cool!
We are planning a trip to London for the premiere of the last Harry Potter movie. I promised my DS we’d go there about two years ago, and he’s been diligently saving a portion of his allowance for the trip. It’s going to be such a fun trip! I want to go NOW! :teehee:
