WIP - 'Daisy' Baby cardigan - hood dilema!

I am about two thirds of the way through this cardigan. I still have to finish the second sleeve, attach the sleeves and knit the collar, or the hood. I can’t decide if i should do a hood or not, i think it will depend on if i have enough red yarn left over.

I am using the Daisy pattern from Knitty but have modified it so that it will acomodate my chunkier yarn, the two colours and a spot of colourwork on the back.

The back and front panels including the colourwork skull and crossbones on the lower back.

A close up of the colourwork fromt he inside.

All the pieces so far from the front.

looking great! Can’t wait to see the FO.

That is so cute. Too funny with the skull and crossbones, not your usual baby outfit which makes it all the more special.

Cute! Can’t wait to see that when it’s done!

thanks for your comments so far guys.

now i am having a problem. I started on a hood but i don’t have enough yarn to finish it what should i do?

more details in this thread in the patterns forum.

I think not having enough yarn is a sign you should just frog it and skip the hood. Also if it has a hood when it isn’t on their little head it will cover up your skull. So I’d go hoodless on it. IMHO

Maybe you could just do a collar if you have enough yarn .
It looks great though

I would go with the collar in red with white trim. If it is a quick and easy pattern you could always make another one.
