WIP: Business Socks for a 12" foot

I’m knitting my DH his socks, this is the “one of three” projects I’m ‘allowing myself’ to have running.

After casting on 104 stitches in 4ply sock yarn (ech), I have done about 1" of 2x2 rib, only 1/2 of an inch to go until I can start the garter rib pattern (which is knit one row, then K2P2 the second row).

And if you’ve cast on 104 stitches, you must be using rather small needles!

2.75mm for the ribbing, then 3.00mm for the ‘body’ of the sock.

They have to fit INSIDE his work shoes… so yeah, they’re a fine weave…

I have the Sensational Knitted Socks book, which gives you tables for sizing (up to 12" feet), and it’s a garter rib. I’ll throw up pics when I get a couple of inches into the pattern:D

Those needles aren’t as small as I thought they’d be; I figured you were using those 000000 needles! :shock:

You go, girl! Hope the big sock :XX: goes well. Love to see them when you’re finished. I, too, have a BIG FOOT to knit for but I just can’t get up enough nerve to try socks for him. :shock:
