Wine Bottle Gift Bags (update)

Rita, thank you! I know what you mean about fussiness in the bottle bags. In my search I ran across several that were overdone as well as others that were underdone, with no special treatment of the top. I’ve had a lot of fun dreaming up designs that make me happy, and I’m itching to try a couple more. Now if I could just figure out how to get a few more hours in my days, I’d be all set.

Very nice work! Love the little ornament detail.

I can’t wait to see what you come up with next .
You could sell the patterns if you write them down or even put them as a download on Ravelry .
They really are nice

I would just like to say that i have been on your site and you work is amazing  You are a very talented person Cynthia

LOL, Rita, I’ll be happy to get the patterns written down correctly, never mind sell them or download them on Ravelry!

Thank you for the nice feedback on my website! I love doing the large drawings, but I’ll have to say that for me knitting is much more relaxing and much less time consuming.

:happydance: Can’t wait…add a bottle of sparkling cider or wine and they’d make the perfect “hostess gift” during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season.

Pam

Pam, I’ve sent the patterns to you via a PM, so hopefully you have them by now.

Rita, special thanks to you for being a second pair of eyes and giving me valuable feedback on the instructions.

Thanks Cindy ! you are welcome , it was my pleasure

:happydance: What great gift bags. Great job

those are beautiful!

Here’s another version of the wine bottle bag, with a top in the Leaf Patterned Lace from “The Knitter’s Bible.” Attached to the tie is a knitted gift tag that matches the bag, with a design motif shown on this site:

This bag (with appropriate wine:cool:) will be a Thanksgiving gift to a family member who requested one in this particular color.

Ohhhh I love that! These are all so pretty!

I love this one . The colour you have chosen is beautiful  Nice work Cindy:)

I just love it, all of them but the latest is extra pretty. Great job. Are you going to have the pattern available somewhere?

Jan and Rita, thanks!

Sue, thank you, too! I will PM you on the pattern.

Below are a couple more pics associated with this latest project (post No.30). The tag (1.5" x 2.25") was just an experiment, and although it isn’t perfect I’m pleased with the way it looks on the bag. On the back I used double-sided tape to attach a piece of an index card for the message.

The pattern for the little sock (3.5", top to toe) is from the same site as the tree motif on the tag. The sock is a bit large for a wine bag ornament, so I’m going to try it again with smaller size needles.

Your work is incredible. Someone is going to be very happy at christmas. I love your wine bottle covers.

I have jusst seen the close up pics of the sock and socking. Too cute and so effective  You are great my little budding designer:)

:happydance: Very cute!

Rita, thanks! You’re a super cheerleader for my designing efforts!

Oh my gosh, I love that little tag, and the sock too! How did you do the colorwork on the tag – is it doubleknit or stranded? Too, too cute. What a great idea.

They all look great, and I love the tree tag!
