Which EZ book to get

I already have The Knitter’s Almanac and I want to get another one. Which one do you all think I should get? I went to the book store and they didn’t have ANY! I was thinking of looking through them to decide. I did look on Rav and still couldn’t make up my mind.

I’m not a new knitter so I don’t need the how to, but I’m not discounting Knitting Without Tears either.

Thoughts? Or should I save up and buy her dvd’s that are for sale on here?

Check your library - mine has a few of her books.

The one I’ve decided I want is The Opinionated Knitter (sight unseen, my library doesn’t have it). It was on my Christmas List last year but Santa must have forgot it. It’ll be on the list again this year, though I have been eyeing it up at knitpicks book sale…

I’d love to know what everyone thinks about this too. I have skimmed all the books (from the library) but haven’t really sat down and tried to figure her out.

Which one has the most actual directions? I was thinking the knitters almanac but knitting without tears looked great too. What do you guys think???

Her directions aren’t written like we are familiar with in any book as far as I know. Once you work it out though she was a genius! I also love reading her books. I’ve only had a few from the library a while back though so I’m not a good judge of which is best at this point.

The Opinionated Knitter is great. It has beautiful photographs, EZ’s history and her early wool gathering patterns including the Baby Surprise Jacket. It was compiled by her daughter Meg after her death. It’s a beautiful book.
But if you really can’t decide I would buy them all…I have.

I do want to get them all, just can’t all at once… still trying to decide… :??

I have her Knitting Workshop which I got to go along with her videos. I have been knitting for years but she has taught me a few things I didn’t know and a better way to things I was already doing. I went to Barnes and Noble and sat there one day for a while and read her without tears book. Excellent writer! I just wish she was still alive but her works live on through her videos and writings. Her videos will teach you new stuff and make you laugh at the same time as she is a funny lady.:woohoo:

This is a question that I have too – I can’t decide which one to start with!

It looks like from this thread that they are all equally good and no one else knows how to pick just one to recommend.
